1st Off This Place Is Absolutely Beautiful!!!!!! The Pink & Teal Decor Inside & Outside Is So Aesthetic & Eye-Catching. The Vibes Are Fun, Bright, & Mesmerizing. Definitely Instagram-Worthy.

Parking Is A Hit Or Miss, I’m Assuming Based Off The Day & Time You Come Here.

They Have A Really Cool, Creative Bagel Selection With Unique Flavor Combos That Make You Want To Try Something Different. (Major Plus)

MY ORDER:
Cheesy Garlic Bread Bagel
• Bodega Style Eggs
• Cheddar Cheese
• Avocado Smash (+$3)
+ Oatmeal Hot Cocoa

Now Here’s My Honest Take:
The Bagel Itself Was Delicious. Flavorful, Toasted Well, & You Could Taste The Garlic & Cheese. I’d Definitely Get The Bagel Again On Its Own Maybe Just Toasted With Butter Or Cream Cheese Next Time.

But As A Combo? I Wasn’t A Fan.

The Eggs Were Disappointing & As A New York Native, I Have High Standards When It Comes To Bodega-Style Eggs. I Expected Fresh Cracked Eggs With That Fluffy, Buttery Flavor, It Just Wasn’t Giving That. For The Price, I Expected Better Quality.

The Avocado Smash Seemed Premade & Not Super Fresh. Paying An Extra $3 For It, I Expected A Brighter, Fresher Taste, So That Threw Me Off.

I Honestly Think My Flavor Combo Just Didn’t Work Together. The Maple Black Pepper, Cheddar, Or Even Everything Bagel Might’ve Paired Better With Those Toppings.

OAT-MILK HOT COCOA ☕️
It Was Okay, But Not Rich Or Chocolatey Enough For Me, I Wanted A Deeper Cocoa Flavor.

My Total Came To $16, & For What I Got, I Personally Felt Like I Overpaid.

Customer Service Was Nice & Super Friendly. It Got Busy Right After I Ordered, So It’s Definitely A Popular Spot. You Can Order Online Or In Person, Which Is Convenient.

The Aesthetic & Bagel Quality Are Strong. My Specific Combo Just Missed The Mark For Me Especially Being From New York, My Expectations For Eggs Are Up There.

This is our first time at Call Your Mother “A Jew – ish Deli” and it is everything AND a bag of chips!! We are New York City born and raised and Christine was not only simply a joy to deal with when we were ordering but she gifted us each a large black and white cookie and wrote happy new year on it! A very nice little piece of home! I have to say the bagels are legit all the way! Chewy and flavorful! There’s another location closer to where we live in an old town and we are definitely going to be repeat customers! Highly highly recommend! Also I should mention that the decor is working out!

I absolutely love this place! Everytime we’re in town we come here again. I got the Thunderbird bagel and iced salted caramel mocha latte. Both were delicious. My order took a few extra minutes so they gave me a complementary cookie that was both delicious and super thoughtful. We had a party of 4 and even though we don’t always get a place to sit the atmosphere is always enjoyable.

” CALL YOUR MOTHER — A GOOD-ISH DELI “

You know when you show up to dinner and your Tinder date looks nothing like their profile picture? Well, this is the bagel version of that.

Generally speaking, CMY’s fun sandwich combos make up for their staunchly mediocre bagels. Unfortunately, the size and composition of said sandwiches is really inconsistent and has gone steadily downhill since they opened.

I was in the mood for some jazzy breakfast sandwiches today, so I ordered some CMY bagels… what a fool I was.

Of notable disappointment was the Edgewater sandwich. I had vague memories of my sister ordering this years ago, when I was struck with bagel envy because it looked so good – vibrant and abundant, just like the photos. IMAGINE my disappointment today when I opened up my Ozempic-thin sandwich on a burnt bagel.
To add insult to injury – I don’t understand the economics of skimping on carrots and cucumbers, the cheapest ingredients imaginable, on a $9 bagel.

I ate it, of course, each mouthful brimming with the bitter taste of regret instead of yummy vegetables.
(Luckily, the pastrami, egg, and cheese was pretty good and eased my pain.)

I cannot believe I was catfished by a bagel. Comedy and tragedy, all in one.

In summary – if there’s something on CMY’s menu you can’t get anywhere else (pastrami, latkes, babka), come here. For everything else, I’ll see you at Bethesda Bagels, with a thicc smoked salmon bagel in my hands.

I recently took my daughter to Call Your Mother Bagel Shop, and it was an absolute hit, especially with her! The vibrant atmosphere and the delicious aroma of fresh bagels immediately made us feel welcome. She was completely captivated by the bustling energy of the place, and watching the bagels being made was a fun experience for her. We shared a few different bagel sandwiches, and each one was perfectly chewy with generous fillings. Seeing her light up and declare it her new favorite bagel spot was the best part. It’s clear that Call Your Mother isn’t just serving great food, but also creating a wonderful, family-friendly experience that we’ll definitely be revisiting soon!

five star enough said. Everything on the menu is a main event star quality. The staff is friendly. Even the areas to sit down, I can casually be lost in thought or talk to a random customer while eating a bagel or drinking a cup of coffee. The staff is always happy and they’re so cool

Decided to give CYM Deli a try and ordered through the Toast Takeout App. Little did I pay attention to the fact that I placed an order at the wrong location. I ordered for pick up through their Bethesda Trolley location instead of Pike & Rose. When I got to the Pike & Rose location and told the cashier, she told me they would just let the other location know to cancel the order and made the sandwich I wanted without hesitation. Customer Service is a 10/10!

I ordered one of their signature sandwiches – The Sun City with bacon. For someone who is not a fan of bagels, it was D E L I C I O U S. The bagel was soft and easy to bite into. Everything blended so well; I highly recommend.

The restaurant is so cute. Everything is pink and they had flowers decorated everywhere. I will definitely add this to one of my favorite breakfast/lunch restaurants.

I’ve been to Call Your Mother a couple times over the past 5 years, each time hoping it gets better. The store itself is cute and the service is wonderful, but the breakfast sandwiches fall flat every time for me. They look delicious, but after a few bites it’s very obvious that almost every ingredient is either microwaved or prepped in bulk and not made fresh to order. I had to pick all the bacon out of my sandwich because it was floppy and starting to look all one greyish brown color (as bacon does when it’s been sitting out or reheated). They also conveniently hide where they make the sandwiches. If you add avocado it is not fresh, but rather lemony guacamole. It is good for the experience, but not worth the $10 if you go more than once.

Bought two orders of Latkes and threw away one because it was so over cooked. Truly disappointed because it came highly recommended.
Staff were very friendly and the limited seating was full. Loved the decor and the name brings a smile to my face! I may try again but probably not anytime soon.
