Really like the aesthetic in the shop. Nice variety in the menu with quick service. My favorite thing here is the salsa bar. All flavors hit and they have this pickled onion/jalapeño that tastes bomb. Parking lot can be packed during peak times (dinner)

Service, well … I tried to call in to place an order. A young lady answered the phone but did not identify herself or the business. So I wasn’t sure where I was calling. When I asked her name all she responded was ” how can I help you”. No good mornings, no hi this is California Taco shop! Not much of phone etiquette. The food is a little prices but I don’t mind treating myself every once in awhile. And I like her greeting me on the phone might have offset that pricy burrito. But I can simply understand, her having to move around those heavy yellow chairs really. I’m a strong girl, but I would definitely have objections to having to unstack ghost chairs. As a manager I would be concerned of a workman’s comp. And the music I would lower the volume when the Taco shop is busy and full of people.

Fast, friendly, service- this taco shop is off to a great start. I ordered the 5 rolled tacos. They were perfect! There is a self serve salsa bar with salsas ranging from mild to hot . Self serve Pepsi machine for soft drinks! Come to Californias Taco Shop, you will love it!

California burrito is decent, comes pretty fast, but I really do not appreciate businesses that add surcharges, especially without making it obviously clear in the restaurant.

This used to be my favorite taco spot. Fair prices, friendly staff, especially the always smiling guy with the mustache, and consistently great food. The food quality is still good thanks to the chef, but something clearly changed in management.
Prices have gone from reasonable to completely unreasonable. On Monday night 2/9/26 around 9 PM, I ordered a California burrito, three tacos, and a bag of chips and was told the total was $50.
When I asked for a breakdown, the woman on the phone started shouting at me and told me to come into the store if I wanted an explanation. That kind of attitude is unacceptable.
What used to feel welcoming now feels disrespectful, and the prices no longer make sense. I will not be coming back unless this changes.

The birria tasted like Christmas. All the sauces and salsas were amazing. One person in our party thought the rolled fish tacos were a little overcooked. I will definitely come back to california.Taco, when I am in the area. The only thing I would like to improve is having a bathroom.

Southern Californians know Roberto’s is the standard for local SoCal taco shoppery. Californias Taco Shop meets or exceeds that standard. Delicious street tacos (pollo asada cooked to perfection), crunchy beef tacos crisp and savory, yummy salsas rojas y verdes. Prices are competitive compared to other Mexican eateries nearby. Highly recommended. As Arnold once said when he was cooler: “I’ll be back.” It’s a casual place, fine for kids and smaller parties, but fellas don’t take a first date here unless she requested it. Parking can be tough during busy weekday lunch hours.

This is the spot right here! Meats good, salsa is delicious..and they got my Cali burrito perfect!! (Add pico no guac) you’d be surprised how many places mess that up. This is what I got for a $6 guacamole. Very small cup and half empty. I checked with the cashier that I bought the 4oz large guac for $6 and this doesn’t seem right, but she said this is it. Either she is lack of training or this is what you will get for $6. Very disappointed.
