Looking for Mexican food? Casual? Fast? This is your place! Since this is in the Annapolis Mall, you can just walk up or get your food inside of five minutes and eat! It’s in Annapolis Mall food court. There was another restaurant Mediterranean style that had bowls fill with all kinds of meat and veggies, etc. and then it closed and not too long after California tortilla opened up. My wife’s new favorite place at the Annapolis Mall. We go there before movies, hanging out in the mall or for riding around on something quick this is the place to go. do you want to really get bang for your book? Get it in the form of a bowl with lots of protein, rice, quinoa, veggies your choice… And it looks like these bowls!
We’ve been there quite a few times already since they’ve opened I guess you could say we’re regulars. But sometimes when we go there, we don’t see the same friendly faces. And that also shows in how they serve. They don’t do the same proportions and one time I asked for guacamole and the guy came over and scooped the rest of it out And put it on his bowl. I asked the guacamole and they said we’re all out. But I was told that they always have fresh guacamole made when you run out. But they didn’t want to get it. They were too busy and trying to close.
And while one of their guys, Arturo was on vacation, two other people were running it. Let’s just say I wasn’t as happy with the service. I felt like they didn’t really want to be there and see their customers happy.
But when Arturo came back, I was again a happy customer. I told him about the situation and he said yes some people said the same exact things that the servers weren’t serving portions the way they should.
So if you happen to go to the Annapolis Mall and look for a place to eat, check out California Tortilla and make everything from burritos to fried fish and shrimp tacos. We mainly get the bowls and sometimes add some shrimp or fish to it. It’s definitely worth the money compared to many other places out there right now.

Great prices I got guacamole and chips for 4$ and quest for $2. I tried two tacos :korean bbq and a screaming taco. The guacamole was fresh and tasty and the queso was still warm when it was delivered. I wouldn’t get a taco maybe try a bowl next time

I can not say enough good things about the Manager today – Arturo.
He went above and beyond listening to my unclear needs for my party. He ensured I had all the information I needed to better review my options online, then ultimately during my 4th call ( ) helping me with my order when my needs changed.
The person who picked up the food for us commented on how positive, patient and polite he was also. Not only with keeping us updated on our order while waiting but also noticeably so when engaging with the rest of the staff for updates on the last items.
I’ve worked with so very many companies for large orders over the years, and I can’t express how much Arturo’s stand out kindness and truly personalized service was appreciated today

This place is so bad and being in the mall, I feel like that’s honestly a bit on me for trying but it was busy and had a line and I miss Cali Mexican food. It wasn’t just bad in a sense that some of us can be a snob when it comes to good quality food-
It was simply inedible. It was the worst instant rice that has that play doh kind of taste that it’s just not quite actual food. I thought it would at minimum be like the Chipotle kind of standard and it’s not even that. So bad. Don’t waste your $.

Their burritos and tacos are top-notch, with fresh ingredients that are perfectly prepared,rich in flavors. Their sides are equally impressive. Slowservice, loosley rolled burrito that fell apart not even half way through. NO HOT SAUCE WALL. Not even a few to try or anything… which is big part of why I like and go to California Tortilla. Was tempted to ask for a refund after realizing it and really wished I would have after eating 1/4 of the burrito.

I was reluctant to try, but I was in the area and wanted a snack. My experience has been to try the chips and pico. If the place can do that well, then they might be on to something. Unless I have covid (I do not), the pico was a flavorless cup of tomatoes, onions, a pinch of cilantro, and watered-down lemon juice? Not one hint of saltiness or other flavors. For some reason, I expected a house made chip. They were not. I’ll give them this, they recently opened and probably need time to fine-tune the menu so it hits a wide variety of taste buds without being too hot or flavorful. For the record, I make my pico with habaneros, romas, enough cilantro, onions, and garlic to suit my taste with key lime juice for a bit of tanginess. Give me a shout if you want me to drop in and make you my pico. We’ll still be friends at the end of the day, so no hard feelings. I’m just a random guy from Sacramento, CA, so your experience may vary. Every day, we have an opportunity to learn, grow, and do better.
