My family and I went up to Cranston, Rhode Island to top golf. We had a great night hitting golf balls. We were looking for somewhere to eat after we finished. Unfortunately for us we chose this place. It looked clean inside, so we decided to eat there. I found it curious that at 6:30 pm the place was empty. We found the idea of sushi and mexican food intriguing.
What a mistake we made! The sushi menu is extremely limited. They don’t even have tuna as an option on any of their roles. We picked the best we could find. Everything seemed fresh on it, but very bland. I believe it was called a crunchy shrimp roll. I don’t exactly remember the role my daughter picked.
Pretty much the same seemed fresh, but tasteless. We also ordered some mexican. If that’s what you want to call it. My wife and I each ordered a soft steak taco . After one bite, I couldn’t finish it. I dared my wife to eat hers. She also quit after one bite. Little chunks of brown meat that I guess represented the steak. It literally tasted like dog food. My daughter ordered a soft chicken taco. She couldn’t even get down one bite. My poor starving son who was very hungry, ordered steak and rice. Once again, little brown chunks of meat that tasted like dog food on top of a bed of rice. The waitress had no idea what was on the menu. We asked her about drinks, and she slowly mentioned they had water and a few different cans of soda. Some kind of juice drink which my son unfortunately, ordered. I must say though the french fries my son ordered were excellent. Do yourself a favor, go to Mcdonald’s before you go to this place.

Chicanos filled the needs of my appetite perfectly. My friend and I wanted tacos and sushi and that is exactly what we got in one location.
The food was absolutely delicious and it was presented great. Try the chicano roll.
The waitress was very friendly. The restaurant felt plenty spacious, and it was not crowded as well.
I cannot recommend this place enough. If I lived closer, I would be coming here every week.

Went there for Valentine’s Day , first time. And the staff was very friendly and welcoming!! And made sure we were okay all the way through! The sushi !!! Yum! The birria delish!! We decided to try Chicano’s on their first day open and are so glad we did! I find that some fusion restaurants are stronger in one cuisine over the other, but Chicano’s is the exception — both the sushi AND the Mexican food we had were phenomenal. The guacamole was some of the best I’ve ever had, and everything tasted so fresh. Can’t wait to go back next time I’m in Cranston!

The food is AMAZING. Sushi was amazing, Mexican food was amazing. The rice and beans are delicious. We got take out last week and the to-go food was just as delicious as dine in. Their staff is super friendly and kind, definitely will be going back! I recommend the shrimp crunchy roll.

Chicano’s was a lovely dining experience. The food was fresh, full of flavor and satisfying. Portions are reasonable and priced fairly. Service was excellent for a group of 9! Our server was welcoming, helpful, patient and kind The atmosphere is just great, a very pleasant vibe and space. Truly impressed by Chicano’s. Their menu has a bit of everything you can crave. We ordered suchi, tacos, a teriyaki bowl, chips and guacamole, surf & turf, churros and tres leches (AND THEY ALL WERE GOOD)!!!

Have never heard of this concept but I read the reviews and decided to try. It was very very good. Ordered asada burrito and 2 sushi roles crunch shrimp roll and volcano roll. No regrets, definitely coming back.
