We went to an event nearby to have lunch but decided to stop here instead. We are so happy we did! Great service from a welcoming staff. We ordered beef tacos and the chicken taco bowl. The food was fresh and delicious. Not spicy and served with mild or hot sauce on the side for you to add. The atmosphere is comfortable, bright and welcoming. We can’t wait to come back. The food and service turned out road trip into a happy afternoon.

I had the chicken burrito and the chicken was excellent. Same for the rolled tacos. The regular taco was good but we were not fans of the tortilla chips. Just had the pulled chicken nachos and they were excellent. Upped the stars to five. Great and friendly service. Addendum. After a trip out to the southwest USA and trying multiple Mexican restaurants, I can conclusively say that I tasted nothing that was better than the food I get here.

First off, wow. I ordered the Monster burrito with double steak and nachos with chicken. That Monster was every bit of 2lbs leaning towards three, every bite delicious. I recommend a few doses of hot sauce. Nachos were fresh and crunchy. Both fully loaded w guac, sour cream, pico. Try any flavor of Jarritos, my fave is guava. Food for two and leftovers for lunch.

So this is the first California Taco Shop I’ve had to write a not so good review about. We came in July 24 @4:56pm. My review is not about the food, but about the service my mom and I received.
When we entered, no greeting and the person taking our order (Yoselin) was not friendly at all. We were given salsa for the table and after tasting it, we didn’t like it at all. We’ve had good salsa, that just wasn’t good. So I saw some on the counter and we figured we’d try those. When the waitress came back, she seemed irritated that we did. I told her we just wanted to try them. I didn’t want to be mean and say the salsa wasn’t good, but anyway it was obvious she was not happy we did that. She then proceeded to take all the salsa and put it away. Whatever, fine. I’m sorry if we weren’t supposed to touch it, but at the end of the day, not really a big deal.
I’ve been in customer service, so when she saw we took it, she could’ve just simply said, “I’m sorry but we’ll have to charge extra for that”. Again, not a big deal and that would’ve been the professional thing to do. I knew I was going to pay something for it, because she definitely let us know she wasn’t happy. When I paid, we were charged 1.99 for two of them. It’s a little steep but maybe she’s trying to send a message. That was obvious because the other girl with her was laughing. I guess we were caught:))
I’m not gonna fight about $4, I don’t care about that. What I’m less than impressed with is the customer service. Maybe she was having a bad day, but that’s not my problem. You’re in customer service. I think they could take a lesson from the young man in the Cranston location. I wish I would’ve had his name. He’s awesome!

Food is always solid, at every spot. Staff is friendly, and helpful. Variety of meats, styles, and combinations is really enjoyable to give any food adventure a wide array of choices. Worth checking out multiple times. Recommend the hard taco’s. Pic is of a Cali Burrito.
