I often travel to Los Angeles on business , and I always try a new restaurant. I ordered avocado salad and super Maki special. Both were just great. Salad ingredients were fresh and dressing was wonderful. Sushi was a combination of three types and all three kinds were great. Even though it was a Tuesday night the restaurant was busy which meant it is popular among locals. Service was also great. All in all a great experience. I will be back.

California Sushi & Teriyaki has a very good catering menu. I placed a preorder for the Sushi & Roll Platter (50 pcs) in advance with a 30-piece Fried Gyoza Platter and a few bowls of miso soup.
The portions were very generous for five adults to share at the office. The rolls and sushi were fresh and neatly packaged, and everything — soy sauce, wasabi, plates, and chopsticks — was included, so there was nothing extra to prepare.
You just need to order 24 hours in advance, and they even offer free delivery for orders over $200 to areas near Hermosa, Redondo, Manhattan Beach, and Torrance.
I chose to pick it up myself, but it’s perfect for office lunches or family gatherings!
The portions are large, the variety is great, and overall, I was very satisfied.

I stopped by California Sushi and Teriyaki – Fat Kitty, and it was absolutely amazing! I tried the Rainbow Roll and Salmon Tempura Roll, and both were super fresh and flavorful. You can really taste the quality of the fish — every bite was perfect.
The service was also outstanding — everyone was friendly, attentive, and welcoming. But what really surprised me was the udon. They actually make the noodles fresh by hand, and you can tell! The texture was wonderfully chewy, and the broth was rich and comforting. Honestly, it might be one of the best udon bowls I’ve had in California.
If you visit this place, you have to try their udon — it’s a total game-changer.
Highly recommended for anyone looking for fresh sushi and authentic Japanese comfort food!

It’s a place that’s worth going out of your way to visit in LA! All the food is really delicious, but the udon noodles and broth are especially amazing. The prices are great, and our kids love it too, so we go there often. It’s clean, the staff are friendly, and the sushi is fresh and tasty as well.

I was so thrilled to finally visit the newly opened go-to sushi spot in Hermosa Beach. The moment I walked in, I fell in move with the tastefully decorated interior. The highlight of my visit was undoubtely the high quality sushi they served. Everything that we ordered was perfectly made with the best quality ingredients and the chef’s (Monica the owner) specially crafted sauce that they use for the sushi rolls. It really elevates the taste and sets this place apart drom other sushi places.
Its the best value sushi place in town.
