We ordered the BBQ pizza and it was excellent. The salad was fresh and really well done, not an afterthought. Food quality and presentation were great overall.
Service was impressively fast, especially for a Sunday when places are usually slammed. Between the food and Rosie’s thorough, friendly service, the whole experience felt easy and enjoyable. Definitely a spot worth coming back to.
During our most recent visit, however, the pizzas were served with oven-roasted cherry tomatoes cut in half instead of sun-dried tomatoes. When we brought this to the staff’s attention, the chef who prepared the pizza came to our table and stated that they have never had sun-dried tomatoes and that what we had supposedly been eating all these years were roasted cherry tomatoes cut in half.
We calmly explained that we have been ordering it this way for years at this exact location. Fortunately, we even had old photos of our pizzas taken at the same branch clearly showing sun-dried tomatoes. Despite this, she insisted that the ingredient in the photos must be something else and repeatedly denied that they have ever served such a version. Instead of trying to understand the situation or offer a solution, her tone was dismissive and argumentative, which felt highly unprofessional.
What made this even more disappointing was the overall condition of the restaurant. The cleanliness has noticeably declined compared to previous years.
It is truly sad to see a brand that once built strong customer loyalty diminish itself through poor service and lack of accountability. After years of positive experiences, this visit was a major disappointment.
Never came back to ask how we were doing, & had no smile on her face in the couple interactions. California Veggie Pizza seemed to be hurriedly made with a very soggy/soft crust. Personally, I felt the Cauliflower pieces were cut too large as seen in photo. Someone else may like it this way. Toastada pizza was nice & crispy.
Our food was also very good.
The issue was with someone (not our server) running outside to take a picture of my license plates AND calling me after I left the restaurant STATING (not asking) that I didn’t pay my bill. I stated I paid on the inKind app and was more than happy to email her my receipt. She said not one word. After a couple mins she proceeded to say she had to refresh her system and saw I paid. I let her know before calling A paying customer to accuse them she should double check on her end as it is rude. She stated “ok”.
We specifically ordered a veggie pizza with NO mushrooms, NO cauliflower, and NO zucchini, and it still came out loaded with everything we asked to be removed. That’s not a small mistake — that’s basic order accuracy.
To make it worse, they only brought bread once. After they already messed up our order, we asked for more and it never came. No follow-up, no urgency, nothing.
I’m sure if corporate asks, the excuse will be “we were busy because it was Valentine’s Day,” but being busy doesn’t justify poor execution, lack of attention to detail, and weak service. If you’re going to operate on one of the busiest nights of the year, you should be prepared.
Definitely not the experience you expect when going out for a special occasion.
