The restaurant was very good and the service was perfect and wonderful. There was even a problem with the salad I ordered, and the entire staff apologized and did not charge me for the food. I was not upset about the problem, but I was very happy that the staff was so responsible.

Interesting offer for lunch from 11:00 to 4:00 for $14. You can choose soup with salad, pizza with soup, pasta bolognese with salad. The service was good, the food was tasty, hot, fresh, the waiter was nice and welcoming. The interior is beautiful, the atmosphere is welcoming. I recommend. P.S. We were given cards for a prize draw for the next visit to the restaurant.

I went to California Pizza Kitchen and was very disappointed. The restaurant as usual is dirty and not well maintained. We ordered pizza, and when it arrived, there was a hair on top of it and definitely was belong to waiter – absolutely unacceptable and very unhygienic. On top of that, the service is terrible. Usually have to wait a long time to be served, and the staff didn’t seem to care. Overall, it was a very unpleasant experience. I would not recommend this place at all.

We were a party of four here last night. We were seated just before 6pm but did not get out food until about 7pm. We were not able to finish our dinners because we were going to a concert next door. We have never had a problem with arriving at 6 to attend a show at 7:30 until last night. We spoke to the GM Beronica and she told our friend that “it takes about 30 minutes to get your food after you order”. Our friend asked why they didn’t have more people cooking in the kitchen on busy nights. She said “they had the maximum number of people working in the kitchen”. And she also said they also “had a lot of to go orders”. It did not look like they had a lot of people working back there. Our server Axel was very nice but it also looked like they did not have that many servers working.
Why don’t they have MORE people working on busy nights AND not blame it on to go orders? Why should to go orders get filled before dine in customers?
We were offered free desserts and we took two to go. Nice offer but if we had to take out dinners to go (we were late for the concert) HOW WOULD WE HAVE TIME TO RELAX AND EAT DESSERT?? Beronica also told us WE NEED to get there at 5:00 for a 7:30 show. We have never had to get there that early – 5pm for a 7:30 concert = CRAZY and unacceptable.
BOTTOM LINE : CPK management needs to better staff during busy times OR they will LOSE business. It was also very noisy during this busy time, perhaps they could add some sound absorbing materials in the ceiling and walls, it is done at a lot of other establishments.

The pizza is overwhelmingly underwhelming. The crust is mediocre. The toppings are what I would expect from a mid-level frozen pizza. There are so many better places to get pizza in Los Angeles these days, I’m not sure how a place like this stays in business.

We chose CPK on Sunday because we were attending a concert at a nearby theater. There were eight people in our party. We had reservations, but (to make a long story short), we weren’t seated at our reservation time. We were apprehensive about being late for our event. Fortunately, we explained the situation to our server (Tina) when she introduced herself and she took complete charge. She was very personable, and she arranged to have our meals served with our drinks, and brought us our checks before we even finished. She did a fantastic job and took all the pressure off of us and made it an excellent experience. I should mention that our entire group has eaten in fine restaurants around the world, but we all agreed this service was as good as it gets. Thank you, Tina!

Great light dinner of pizza and salad with a glass of red wine. The food is always delicious and always well presented. Our service was very personal and the background music was relaxing and everything was clean and well taken care of. Many choices on the menu and all a good price.
