We hadn’t eaten at this restaurant chain in about 15 years and it hasn’t really changed much. The pizza was good, but small for the price. It was more like a personal sized pizza but for the price of family size.

The pasta was really good and flavorful. My only complaint was that the kung pao spaghetti was 18$ and didn’t include any meat on it! If you wanted chicken it was another 4.50$ and even more for shrimp. It should have come with meat for that price.

Atmosphere & Location:
Situated in the Fairfax Corner shopping/dining area, the venue is easy to access (ample parking nearby) and offers a clean, comfortable interior. The vibe is casual-upscale: friendly for family or group outings, yet still good for a more relaxed dinner.

Food & Menu:
The menu offers a nice variety: you’ll find classic pizzas, inventive toppings, pastas, salads (including gluten-free options) and some shareable starters. We tried a specialty pizza and a salad—both were well-prepared and flavorful. The crust had good texture, toppings tasted fresh, and they hit the mark.

Service:
Our server was friendly and attentive. We didn’t feel rushed, but the pace was smooth. One caveat: during peak hours this place could get busy, so service might be a bit slower than the ideal.

Value & Overall:
Pricing leans a bit higher than ultra-casual pizza spots, but given the ambiance, menu variety, and convenience, it felt reasonable.
Areas for improvement

If you go at a peak time (weekend evening), parking might take a few extra minutes.

California Pizza Kitchen at Fairfax Corner has such a welcoming vibe, and the bar team really makes it special. Bartenders like Riya, Dob, and David know their drinks incredibly well and always take the time to recommend something you’ll genuinely enjoy. What stood out most is how they welcome people—warm, attentive, and friendly, like you’re being invited into their home.

If you’re coming to CPK at Fairfax Corner, I highly recommend spending time at the bar and letting them guide you. It’s a great experience every time.

We recently dined at California Pizza Kitchen and had a great experience overall. The food was fresh, flavorful, and consistent with what we expect from CPK.

What really made the visit stand out, though, was our server, Kaitlyn. She was friendly, attentive, and genuinely welcoming from start to finish. She checked on us at the right times, made helpful recommendations, and kept everything running smoothly without ever feeling intrusive. Great service truly makes a difference, and Kaitlyn absolutely elevated the entire experience.

We’ll definitely be back — and we hope to have Kaitlyn as our server again.

I’ve loved CPK forever and we chose it as our Christmas Eve meal (a coveted spot every year- been literally looking forward to it for weeks and, yes, I’ve had my order picked out for a week lol), but I’m genuinely embarrassed I chose them for my family…. WHAT HAPPENED TO YOU, CPK!?! We (Uber Eats) ordered spaghetti bolognese, shook up the container, and received what can only be described as dry orange noodles (with random and weird different kinds of pasta all mixed together in there). Not to mention, the container was barely half full and has nearly no sauce- you would be very challenged to find a single piece of meat in their bolognese. Seriously- look at the pic- HOWWWW was this $22 for a few orange noodles!?! I could’ve made orange noodles at home for 50 cents. If you’re thinking about ordering from here- don’t- they aren’t what they used to be! I can’t believe we wasted our Christmas Eve dinner on this.

The portions are getting smaller while the cost and the overall atmosphere remain stagnant.

Service was super nice !

Look. I used to work at the one in Tysons ahem ..20ish years ago and I still crave the chicken tequila and the chopped salad. Once a month I come and get those to go with a couple of drinks while I wait.
It’s so much food! Still tastes like nostalgia and deliciousness. Bar staff are great and I get 3 plus meals from it. I wish they were busier so I never have to worry about them being gone. Lunch deals are fabulous and the special seasonal stuff is great.

Not much time to write: it was a very good experience. I don’t know the name of thr manager is right now at 9:40 PM, and I don’t know the name of the young man who greeted me when I walked in, but I do know the name of the woman who patiently listened to my my gift card drama on the telephone and her name is Mercedes. They have very gracious staff, and good manners, even to a man who walks in right before closing time. I haven’t had the food but I think it will be good because the people are good.

Mom and I enjoyed the pizza. I could have asked that the sauce be spread more to the edge of the crust, but I didn’t so I can’t fault the staff for not reading my mind.-
I want be honest. If writing a flower review, ine says what species it is and what color it is and… you get it?
This staff was Hispanic, and I love it when decent and hard working persons with a good attitude, good manners, and sincere smile come to this country, just as my ancestors did. I would return here even if the pizza was mediocre, because I felt relaxed while indoors because of the kindness of the staff.

I have visited this California Pizza location in Fairfax Corner several times, especially when my nephews come to town, and we always have a good time. Their pizzas are consistently delicious and less salty than other pizza restaurants. They also have healthier options like gluten-free pizzas and tasty salads. This makes it more appealing to go back and try. The service is decent, and the servers are friendly. The place is well-maintained and clean. Although parking is free, finding a spot on weekends can be challenging since Fairfax Corner is a popular hangout spot.

I don’t usually go to a restauran at the end of the shift or when the restaurant is about to close. But we went there last night and the server Ilyas (sorry if I wrote it wrong) as soon as he saw us he gave us a big smile and a very good attitude. Thank you for that!

The food was really good. The pizza tasted fresh and delicious, the bacon ufff please you need to try it!!! and also we ordered chicken with pasta! Was a 10/10 very flavored..

The artichoke dip was good too!

I will come back for the dessert
