Additionally, the margarita was a wonderful complement to the meal. It was refreshing and had the right balance of tanginess, making it an ideal pairing with the pizza. If you find yourself at the airport and in need of a satisfying meal, I highly recommend stopping by California Pizza Kitchen. You won’t be disappointed.
Don’t expect your food to come out lightning fast because it is fresh made.
Wilma, my server was charming, and attentive. She even wrapped up my leftover pizza for my flight.
The mushroom and spinach pizza was as good as a full menu location.
I’ll be back.
California Pizza Kitchen is what happens when mediocrity puts on a blazer and charges $25 for it.
The pizza is neither Californian nor particularly pizza. It’s more like a confused flatbread that went to culinary school, dropped out, and still thinks it deserves respect. The crust is bland, the toppings feel pre-measured by a corporate spreadsheet, and every bite tastes like it was designed to offend no one while satisfying absolutely no one.
The menu reads like a creative writing exercise from 2004 — “innovative,” “bold,” “chef-inspired” — yet somehow every dish arrives tasting eerily identical: lukewarm, under-seasoned, and deeply forgettable. It’s food with commitment issues.
Service? Polite, sure — in the same way airline staff smile while handing you disappointment on a tray. You can practically feel the employees counting minutes until their shift ends, and honestly, I don’t blame them.
And the prices… astonishing. Paying premium prices for food that feels mass-produced and reheated should be studied in business schools as a masterclass in branding over substance.
CPK is not bad in a dramatic way — it’s worse. It’s aggressively average. It’s the restaurant equivalent of elevator music: present, unavoidable, and instantly forgettable.
If you’re craving pizza, go literally anywhere else. If you’re craving California, this ain’t it. If you’re craving quality, warmth, or flavor — keep walking.
The bar and tables were filthy with thrash everywhere. The bartender sat on his phone the entire time, zero service.
