The moment we walked in, we were greeted with so much warmth. I regret not catching her name, but our server was truly the sweetest. The food was delicious. We ordered the pupusas revueltas and the chicken tamales, both only $3.50 each. Unbeatable prices for such quality.

Everything was fresh. The pupusas were generously filled and paired perfectly with the curtido and salsa roja. The tamale was moist, packed with chicken, and the masa was well-seasoned.

Skip the long line across the street and support this local spot that has been serving the community for years. Places like this deserve to stay.

Don’t even have pictures to share since it was so good. The owner is so sweet and kind and creates a welcoming atmosphere. I usually get the revueltas (pork, bean, cheese) papusa and have never been disappointed. To correct an earlier review, they totally take cards as of Dec 2025 so don’t even worry ab that.

In the area for the month and was craving Salvadoran food! Came across this place (the name confused me – I totally didn’t realize it was a Salvadoran place) after a few less than stellar pupusas (i.e. Silver Lake farmers market). Food was delicious!!! I got the plato tipico (rice/beans, fried plantains, cheese, mantequilla, tortillas) which was amazing. I also got the horchata, which is a bit different than Mexican horchata (I like it better). Prices were very reasonable! Wish I lived permanently in this area so I could come here every week!

Authentic Tropical Latin American atmosphere! The ambience here is reminiscent of the Tropical Mexican Sureste, which I have experienced and of course Central American households of my friends. It really seems like entering an Abuelita’s kitchen. From the table coverings to the statues of saints and altares. A lot of locals come in so it gets very lively. I love hearing the Tropical accent. Best of all our server called me “Mi Amor” several times! It really feels at home here! The music was priceless today! Old Spanish speaking ballads from the 80s! Wow! There’s a Virgin of Guadalupe on the wall next to the entrance which is really cool because you get the feeling that this is a place that welcomes all Latinos and well, we are all cousins after all. They actually sell Mexican food too.

The pupusas are $3.25 and they’re not greasy. Not the best but they are definitely above average. The curtido is pretty good. I got 2 Pupusas Revueltas. I also had Fried Plantains which come with cream and beans. I drank an Horchata which is different from the Mexican one. It was not the best I’ve had.

Service is warm and friendly. You can hear the pupusa maker patting the pupusas into shape. As you walk by the restaurant you can see her at work from the window!

The decor is very Latin American. It’s not a hole in the wall. It’s a total different look. Literally it’s like a Latin American restaurant right here in the US.

Meter parking outside.

The staff were super friendly, and our waitress was just a pleasure to interact with! The food was wonderful and cheap for the amount of food we got — definitely get a couple of the pupusas! I especially liked the bean and cheese pupusa.

This place feels like my childhood, atmosphere is very relaxing and homely. The pupusas are all under $5 which is exactly what we came for, will be back for soup!

By far the least tasty pupusas I’ve had. They were specially thin and the chicharrón was not tasty. The curtido had so much vinegar, it tasted awful . I really had high hopes for this place to work out for me, but I’m disappointed.
