We stopped by California Grill and tried a couple of their bowls, and overall it was a great experience!
I ordered the new island teriyaki fried wild rockfish bowl, and it was delicious. The fish was crispy and flavorful, but the real star of the dish was the grilled pineapple – it added such a bright, sweet contrast to the savory flavors. The portion was generous, and honestly, it was a little heavy for me to finish on my own, but luckily my husband helped out. Next time, I think I’d go for the grilled version instead of fried, just to keep it lighter.
My husband got the tilapia bowl with garlic butter sauce along with a side of sweet potato fries. The tilapia was well-grilled and tender, and the garlic butter sauce paired perfectly with the rice. The sweet potato fries had good flavor but could’ve been a bit crispier.
Between the two bowls, the rockfish with pineapple stood out the most, highly recommend giving it a try!

The fish tasted really fresh and I liked the sauce too. The plating of the food looked nice as well, and there was outdoor seating which was pretty quiet and easy to talk at. I did make the mistake of getting french fries and rice which was too much carbs

We are regulars here at this location on Oakland rd and visited all other locations but this place has the best food flavor, amazing service and place is clean! Staff is very friendly and attentive. We’ve also been greeted by the manager Freddy who is super nice! Thank you for always making me and my family feel welcome every time we visit! Keep serving those delicious healthy meals

The best of the best in every metric, where the locals come to feast. Do branch out from the grilled plates at the top of the menu, they make absurdly good fried shrimp. Highly modular so you can figure out what you like and highly consistent once you do. Taco tuesday is a guaranteed hit and the prices are insane, in a good way. They have some level of attentive floor staff (???) which is unheard of around here for a casual place where you order without talking to a human. Best soda fountain in the area on top of it all. I would give 6 stars if I could.

So great tacos! We ordered fish tacos and cajun shrimp tacos. Fish was pretty crunch and delicious. It was first time to visit and we want to go there again to try another foods. These are reasonable prices, especially given the current inflation. I feel like California Fish Grill is seafood version of Mendocino. Great flavor with good ingredients, clean environment and friendly staffs.

Fast-food style fish and seafood restaurant. Great prices and easy to order. Staff are friendly and helpful. The battered fish tacos were the star of the night, they were amazing! The basic grilled white fish is passable but I’d recommend something pricier. The salmon and shrimp are delicious. The white rice is surprisingly flavorful. The soda choices are excellent. The clam chowder is good but could be served hotter. Highly recommend this location!

Very casual dining restaurant. They serve fish and chicken. Menu is good. Food taste is average. Salmon was quite tough and fishy tasting. Maybe throwing was not done properly. Prawns were okay. Staff was Courteous. Ambiance is average. Parking is sufficient.

Had an amazing experience trying a variety of grilled fish entrees. Loved the shrimp skewers and the dynamite shrimp special. Enjoyed the bass, catfish and swai grilled with the side of rice and French fries. Would highly recommend if you love fish and pretty easy with those self order kiosks.
