I love this coffee shop! Friendly – and the food is good. Breakfast Dawners are my favorite. There’s a lovely garden, giving it quite a tropical feel, and a dog patio where your pooch can hang out. They have bands playing through the summer months on many Saturdays, and I have seen some pretty fun afternoon vibes happening, with space to dance and patrons enjoying some wine, mimosas and beer. Fun place. But if peace and quiet is your thing, then most other days it’s pretty laid back and relaxed.

Great spot! The burrito was big enough to split between two people and very yummy with a delicious homemade salsa. Good coffee as well, would definitely return.

Love this place! Great selection of coffee and drinks as well as food freshly made and locally-sourced. Staff are very friendly and helpful. The live music is awesome! Lots of space to sit inside and outside, the patio offers more room for little ones to run around as well.

The coffee shop is super cute and the staff is extremely friendly. I’m super sad that the coffee and food just don’t match up to the vibes.
The coffee tasted both burnt and watered down. The lattes were over $8 each, which I’m happy to pay for a really good coffee, but there was nothing special about the coffee here.
I also got a breakfast burrito that unfortunately didn’t taste like anything. The eggs were microwaved so they had a weird texture and it just wasn’t seasoned. It was really disappointing for a $15 burrito.
The owner is super sweet and I want to support her, however due to the very high prices and lackluster product, I can’t see myself being a repeat customer.

I don’t drive this way often but when I do, I make sure I stop by here and grab a delicious latte and burrito! Anything I have tried here on the menu is great! The live music and family feel-good vibes here really make the experience worthwhile. The owner and staff are fun social people to chat it up with and make you feel so welcome. I encourage everyone to visit this sweet gem of a spot tucked away in Aptos.

Ever since Sylvia Reyes took over California Coffee, she has provided stellar service and help for the community. From her student discounts to her help for seniors with their trusts, etc., she and her staff have shown their support and integration into the Santa Cruz communities. Her coffee drinks and breakfast burritos are off the chart great. I highly recommend visiting her shop.

Food is to die for! The burritos are huge and incredibly delicious. My only struggle is they take forever to get food. Order five burritos 50 minutes ago. Ugh! Other than that, friendly & yum!

Cute cafe with rude service and overpriced coffee. They cafe open until 2, but at 1:39, staff members make guests feel unwelcome by refusing to serve hot beverages.
My iced coffee tasted sad and very bitter.
My pastry was stale. Everything is expensive, and then they ask for a tip on top of bad service.
The sight “Best Coffee in Aptos” is the height of irony

Everything about this place is awesome. I come here 3-4 days a week for the coffee, breakfast sandos, and the wonderful environment and staff. It’s a great place to post up and jam on some emails, or just chat it up with the owner, Sylvia.
There’s a great outdoor area where they frequently have live music. Very kid friendly, and dog friendly too!
5 stars for sure!
