Tried it for the first time on Friday, 2/27/2026 at 1830. The menu was massive! I didn’t know what to order but thankfully a nice fellow suggested the Tacoma Burrito. This was a gigantic burrito that was stuffed with steak, potatoes and avocado. I put a couple of their delicious salsas on it as the seasoning was on the light side – I guess people are encouraged to sample the offerings from the impressive salsa bar. Extremely filling and decently priced as well… the place was very clean, well-lit and had very cool hand-painted art on the walls. The cashier was super nice, helpful and very attentive. The food was ready within 4 minutes… pretty incredible since there was a line of cars outside at the drive through as well. Thank you to the staff of California Burrito… I will be back with my sons.

Everything I have ordered has been excellent. Hot sauce bar inside is a must. Their Chimichanga could feed a small village. Don’t sleep on the Bunuelos.

Finally saw that California Burrito & Taco shop was open so my wife and I decided to hit up the drive thru. We first noticed the massive selection of single items, combos , and drinks. I chose a California Taco Salad and two (2) enchiladas, 1 chicken and 1 beef. My wife chose a bean and cheese burrito and we also grabbed one for our daughter as well. Now. When it came to the beans, they had a great taste but some had the texture of clay and the rest had a texture of regret. My enchiladas were extremely cold , they lacked every bit of spice & seasoning, and you couldn’t tell if the meat was chicken or beef. The California Burrito Taco Salad had a soupy consistency and it didn’t have a single piece of meat. The shell itself was dripping oil and I didn’t know that you could get it in the shade of burnt. I really hope they get out the kinks or I’m sure it will be seen as a disastrous effort. I think for now I’ll stick with another taco shop with the same name but in reverse. Side note: the girl working the drive thru window needs to be trained extensively in customer service, professionalism, eye contact, and manners!! You don’t just bark out the total, not once did she look at us and as for the food, don’t shove it out the window expecting the customer to catch it. Pay attention and stop shooting the breeze with the other coworkers.

First time trying shrimp burrito-wet and it was a questionable choice but it did not disappoint!! The sauce on top just the right amount of spicy and shrimp is seasoned and jumbo size too! The pictures don’t do the burrito any justice

We went in because the drive it was too long. We did get our food kind of fast. I got a crunchy chicken taco. The chicken is kind of mushy. My son got a fish burrito combo which didn’t have any fish in it. It only had beans and cheese. Also with a tortilla from the shelf on the burrito was kind of hard. My husband got to be Taco combo. He asked for no guacamole and there is some on there. I don’t know yet if I’m going to go back.

I ordered a side of rice and beans that’s listed for $3.75, but the cashier rang it up as two separate items one rice and one beans so I was charged more than the menu price. When she asked “is that fine with you,” I knew something seemed off. I probably would’ve left a tip, but the incorrect charge left a bad impression. Hopefully they can make sure staff are clear on the menu pricing so this doesn’t happen to other customers.

The tacoma burrito was so yummy and the carne asada fries, me and my kids loved it so much!! The staff was very very understanding, and they were all so friendly and sweet. It smelled so good in there too!! I could smell the food from the back and it made me more hungry.
Gotta say, I don’t typically like mexican food but I could eat this over and over again and be completely satisfied. I am 100% introducing this restaurant to my friends, thinking of going again this weekend!!

Food is okay. I’ve come here a few times now and feel like every meal I’ve order is missing something like lack of flavor and the Jamaica is so watered down do not get it. It is terrible.… I will say the salsa bar is a nice feature and inside looks clean. The last time I came in made me not want to come back due to bad customs service. I came in with my boyfriend we both wanted something different to eat so he was NOT gonna get anything but came in with me. I asked the lady for a burrito and she had rang in 2 … once I noticed the screen (because they don’t read your order back to you) I had noticed she rang in more then one. I nicely said oh I’m sorry I only want 1 burrito then she proceeded to get mad at me an argue saying I had asked for 2 witch I did not so I apologize again don’t know why I kept apologizing to this girls when one she was rude and she was the one who messed up my order anyway she proceeds to have an attitude rolling her eyes witch really annoyed me and telling me I ordered 2 when I know damn well I did not!!! Finally some other lady came over and fixed my food order. I’ve worked in restaurants and customers service places in the past and had even bee a server and would of never acted like that even if I was right or wrong not how you treat people would not come here unless you wanna deal with snobs and won’t be supporting this business anymore maybe hire some nicer people and watch who you have working upfront and taking orders

I went to the drive through at 3:30 am and ordered a wet shrimp burrito with no cheese and added guacamole. On the menu it said there was at least rice in it but when I got home I cut into the burrito and there was no rice or beans in the burrito. If there was guacamole I didn’t notice it and there was way too much sauce with no lettuce or tomato. There was an adequate amount of shrimp that were grilled, which explains why they made me wait for 10 minutes at the window despite my being the only customer there. The tortilla the burrito was made with was very thick and kind of dry – you could not cut it very well
With the plastic fork that was provided, so I used a steak knife instead. Having lived in California and eaten burritos there for decades I am aware of what makes a basically edible burrito, and this was not it. All I could really eat were the grilled shrimp as there was way too much sauce that was not appetizing. I asked for hot sauce but I don’t think the girl at the window understood me. I think this chef must not want to be a chef and that he is only doing this for a job and does not care about what the food tastes like. It was the worst burrito I ever paid $ for. I paid them $15 which included a tip. I am not happy because here I am at home hungry just like I was before I drove across town to waste $15.

Very comparable to Memo’s food quality wise.
The Menu and the building is basically indistinguishable from each other.
Food quality is a smidge better than Memo’s.
Perfectly acceptable for that midnight snack.
They seem a bit faster at making food than Memo’s as well.
I DO NOT like the way they make you sign for every payment though.
I simply do not want to touch a clipboard and pen that 500 people a day touch.
And sry, I don’t tip for fast food.
I tip for sit-down restaurants, not a drive thru.
