This is My second time here and this time I left happy.. The restaurant is under New Management and you can really tell the difference.. The food is better tasting.. I will have to give the Asada nachos another try.. But I had the Tacos plate and the Tacos are huge and a well served portion of Rice and beans.. Free chips and salsa Bar with your food purchase.. Definitely recommend the Pico de Gallo and Salsa Verde

Breakfast burritos are bomb and flan is some of the yummiest. Even have fresh squeezed juice on menu ! Seems pricey but you get moneys worth for what you pay.

I ordered a California Burrito and some tacos and shrimp and went back to working next door. I opened by burrito up and started eating as I was very hungry and noticed after taking a few bites that there what looked like red blood spots in my burrito wrapper. There were 5-6 random blood spots on the inside of the wrapper. I quickly looked at my hands and the burrito and saw nothing and the spots were dried… I absolutely felt disgusted and threw away almost the entire burrito… I called this morning to let them know since I didnt have time to deal with it. They actually knew about the spots and claimed they were just something wrong with how they were printed…. INSTEAD OF ASSUMING CUSTOMERS KNOW YOU HAD A PROBLEM WITH YOUR PRINTED WRAPPERS THROW THEM AWAY!!!! IF IT LOOKS LIKE BLOOD EVERYONE WILL THINK ITS BLOOD!!! Absolutely gross

I get the carnitas chimichanga it’s soo good. I love their red and green sauce it’s very yummy. Try this place if youre hungry and don’t want to sit down anywhere or if u want u could sit there.
I’m so disappointed but I have to do this just to warn people. I came here and got my usual carnitas chimichanga and it was so disgustingly burnt it looks like dog food. I was wondering what was taking so long since I was the only person in line but that’s why they were charing my carnitas. I brought it back because it’s an expensive meal and of course they were annoyed and asked rudely what I wanted to do knowing they wouldn’t give me a refund so I just took the replacement. I’m waiting for it now honestly this will be my last time here. So many other places that don’t burn food and pass it off like its all good. It’s my kids bed time he needs a bath and instead I’m sitting here for way too long again.

I recently visited California Burrito in North Highlands and my experience was nothing short of appalling. I inquired about a food item on their menu, only to be told that it cost more than what was advertised. When I asked for clarification on what came with the meal—since the menu clearly stated it included sides—the person taking my order just stopped responding. I was genuinely confused and simply trying to understand why the pricing didn’t match and why the menu wasn’t updated. Instead of offering any explanation or even basic courtesy, the staff chose to completely ignore me.
This blatant disregard for customers is beyond rude. To make matters worse, as I left—frustrated and bewildered—the staff inside waved at me as I drove off. It felt like a slap in the face, like they were mocking me for daring to ask questions about their misleading prices.
As a person of color who actively tries to support local communities and businesses owned by people of color, this experience was a harsh reminder of the gaps we still face in how we treat one another. It was disheartening and, frankly, unacceptable.
If you want good food and to be treated with basic dignity and respect, I highly recommend going to Alberto’s across the street. They are transparent, kind, and don’t try to cheat you out of your money. Supporting community businesses shouldn’t mean accepting poor treatment, and Alberto’s is proof that you don’t have to.
