Tried this spot out right after the Galt Christmas Parade and it didn’t disappoint. The Asada Torta and the Asada Chimichanga were delicious. If you like the enchirito from Taco bell the chimichanga with the enchilada sauce from this place reminded me of it, but 100x’s better. The agua de jamaica was also fresh and delicious. The food is really Authentic Mexican food. Would recommend this place.

This is a great deal. Food is taste and portions are generous. At a fair price. I stop in every Friday when I pass through Galt. I get whatever combo special they have for $12.50 and I can’t finish it in one sitting. They have chips with several Awesome salsas. The place is clean and well maintained. I have family that comes from Reno to visit us and they now stop here every time. 3.5 stars is not right. This place should be closer to 5 stars. Give ‘em a try they won’t disappoint.

California Burrito is new to Galt. Did we need another Mexican food joint? No. But is it worth trying? Yes.
Located in the old Burger King, this place is convenient because it has a drive through, plenty of parking and is easily accessible from the freeway. The menu is extensive, having plenty of things to choose from. The restaurant itself is clean. The staff is helpful.
The food appears to be made at the time of ordering, which is one of the reasons why the wait time in the drive through isn’t on par with traditional fast food places. But that’s a good thing, in my opinion!
We have ordered from this place multiple times already. The first time I had a Pork Verde burrito— it was flavorful and good. There was plenty of meat, rice, and beans. My husband had rolled tacos; they were also good, served hot, crunchy and as expected. My son got an asada burrito without any hot sauce or pico de gallo, they followed his instructions and there was a generous portion of meat.
On another trip there, my husband and son ate in the restaurant and brought home an order of pozole for me. It was delicious!!! It’s so nice to have a place to get pozole in town. There was a very generous amount of pork in it. Plus, it came with a container of all of the usual additions— red and green cabbage, radish, cilantro, lime and oregano. I wish there would have been onions. It also came with tostadas instead of regular tortillas. The soup itself was very flavorful! However, it was significantly more greasy than I’m used to. Still, it tasted great!
We will be back at California Burrito… the prices are fair, the convenience is there, and the food is good!

While the combo meal is a little expensive, if you go inside and enjoy the chip bar, the sauces are an A+. Really enjoyed the queso blanco. Will definitely go again

The food was good enough for Galt I tried the new potato taco yes Potatoes any way it was good There was four of us and we two new people so had to decide and the girl could not hear us someone in the back had some crappy music on yes it was not Mexican favorite. I said something and not long after we hear the music again at our table I will go somewhere else. It’s really to bad a town like Galt has zero authentic Mexican food
