I got the California burger, half pictured. I loved that it was cut in half and both halves wrapped. We were traveling through and just went through the drive-thru. Being wrapped helped in eating on the go, in the car. It was a good burger, cooked well, sandwich good sized. My granddaughter got the Pistrami cheesesteak sandwich, which she really liked. We both got the Pistrami chili fries. Unfortunately by the time we got to eat them, out of the car, they were cold and we had to reheat, fries in general don’t reheat well and these didn’t either. We probably should have skipped getting these, but they probably would have been much better if eaten sooner. There were quite a few different burgers/sandwich es to choose from. The size was well worth the cost. All was priced as average, pretty much what you’d pay for most. Service was friendly.

The Philly cheesesteak sandwich was absolutely fantastic and so yummy. But the best of the best are the big yummy ice cream cones. They are so big with so much tummy ice cream .

I just spent my hourly wage after taxes on a burger and curly fries with medium pepsi. Ok as a first time guest reviewing a place that I could have gone to a real sit down restaurant and enjoyed a big burger and endless fries for 9.99, California Burger probably won’t be a place I will choose to return to.
Thanks to Sal for the friendly service – it earned a higher star in that column! Almost $15 for a 2# combo with curly fries that adds 1.40 more (just for curly fries) Sorry but I have to stick with Arby’s for curly fries. Thanks for the experience and now I can say I tried the place.

Stopped at the East 38th location, very popular spot. The guy taking my order was very patient considering I’ve never been before. I Wanted to try something new. I got a single burger it was good I enjoyed the seeded bun but it tasted a lot like Burger King. The fries were hot and seasoned well, which I loved. I also ordered a peanut butter cup twister and it was really good, just wish they offered different sizes so that way I didn’t have to waste half of it. Over all I would score this place a 7/10

I love this place. The food is EXCELLENT, and the place is clean and we’ll decorated. The staff is also very friendly. If you’re expecting fast food in the typical sense, forget it. Their food isn’t the quickest (also well worth the wait) because everything is made to order. AND, their sandwiches actually look like the ones in the pictures. I will definitely be back.

Fast food meets quality meets soul food. Burgers are absolutely delicious, the fries are perfectly crispy and SEASONED (not just salt, but actual seasoning!), and the extra side options are always smackin!!

New location on East 38th St. Right off, it is fast food, but it stacks up definitely higher than McD’s. Lots of choices, sides, and sizes of burgers, shakes, and fries. Interested in Pastrami Chili Cheese Fries? Do you want a cone, waffle, cup, float, or sundae? Their Banana Split looked fire. Dinner and treats for three came up to $32 total. Not bad for the quantity and quality. Plus, servers wore gloves, and uniforms and hats were clean, new, and neat. I ordered a Pastrami sandwich, 10 wings basket combo, poppers, swirl cone, and orange float. My new go-to for a quick treat.

They have the best burgers in the city hands downs. I don’t care what anybody says no chain restaurant, nothing compares to a California burger it is a treat. And it doesn’t even matter which side of the city it comes from it all tastes the same which makes it even better so I know if I’m up north by the mall it’s going to taste good on West 16th it’s going to taste good on East 38th Street it’s going to taste good it just tastes good!
