Went last night after seeing the Davids tik tok. Was excited to try a new restaurant! Went with three others. Had an outstanding dinner!

Very classy dining experience. Beautiful setting. Menu is just large enough to make you ponder what you want as everything looks tasty, but not too big you give up.

We ordered a round of drinks that were great. And reasonably priced!

Bread and butter was served. We started with the truffle fries. So good! And why was the ketchup extra good!

I ordered the blanched pear salad. I’m definitely coming back for that! Delicious

Our table got the prime rib special which was tender, the chicken Marsala which was juicy and the sauce was wonderful, the chicken parmigiana which was good but not great. Could use a bit more seasoning. I got the rack of lamb and did not disappoint. Very tender and not gamey.

Then ordered creme brule which was perfect. My favorite dessert. Also got the peach cobbler which in our opinion could have used a bit more sweetness, maybe brown sugar?

The whole wait staff was super friendly and you can tell they’re really trying to provide excellent service. I would say though “have more fun with your guests”. For only being open for little over a week super impressed and am looking forward to coming back for dinner, lunch and breakfast!

I wish you all the success! (Hope you don’t mind I have a bit of constructive criticism; I only want you all to succeed)

The California Bistro is a fantastic new addition to the Coachella Valley food scene. The space is bright, spacious, and beautifully decorated—be sure to check out the impressive glass-front wine rack!

The standout was the French Dip. If you are a fan of Philippe’s in Los Angeles, you have to try the French Dip at the California Bistro. It might actually be much better that The Original French Dip at Philippe’s! The beef on the California Bistro’s French Dip is thinly sliced with perfectly seared edges that add an incredible “pop” of flavor. Unlike the typical thin au jus, their “dip” is a rich, savory gravy made from beef drippings. It’s a total game-changer. The French Dip comes with “Frites” which I prefer to call American Fries. The American Fries are beer-battered and fried to a perfect crisp. Some of the best fries I’ve had. The waiter did offer fruit instead of fries, but the fries are so good they would be my recommendation.

Even though they’ve only been open for four weeks, the service was seamless. Our waiter was friendly, informative, and incredibly efficient. They offer different menus for breakfast, lunch, and dinner, plus an extensive bar menu.

Highly recommended for a high-quality lunch in a beautiful setting. I’ll definitely be back to try their breakfast and dinner menus!

It is not worth the trip. Both Foxy’s and Willies are better choices. I am tired of the same old menu popping up everywhere. There is nothing special about this restaurant. The people were nice, helpful and atmosphere was comfortable…a bit bright and something about it strange but comfortable enough. My salmon was nicely prepared and salad was good. It is not worth the price. There were two of us and we each had a salad and entree (nothing to drink) the bill with tip was $140.00 Value was not there. On top of that they charged a $5.00 surcharge for using a credit card. I would rather have them rework their pricing and include that in their overhead. It is not an option to pay with anything other than a credit card now anyway so it is like charging us extra to have the privilege of paying them. UGH. Sorry for the rant but it is just another restaurant with salmon, a pork chop and a veggie option on the menu…YAWN

We ate dinner this evening at California Bistro. We were going to a neighboring restaurant but they were having a special event & we could not get in. It turned out well for us.

The atmosphere at California Bistro is sophisticated but comfortable. Our server, Sergio C, was attentive and helpful in suggesting menu items. The food was flavorful and served in a timely manner. Water glasses were always full & the table was cleared quickly between courses.

This building was vacant for a long time. California Bistro is a welcome addition to the area.

I came to their opening and their food was amazing my compliments to the chef and all the workers. Our server was fantastic as well she did a good job with our big party. But the food is to die for here, you can actually taste quality of the food and it all just melts into your mouth. I had the scallops yesterday and they were fantastic nothing wrong with them. I definitely recommend people to come eat here the owner happens to be the old bartender from Si Bon Adrian and I will say he’s doing a good job.

California Bistro is a great addition to Rancho Mirage. We’ve been here twice in a week, the first time for breakfast (french toast and an omelette) and the second time for dinner (sand dabs and chicken parm). Both meals featured yummy food, generous portions, and top-notch, attentive service. For dinner, we sat outside and the noise from the car wash next door was distracting. Breakfast inside was quiet. We will dine here on a regular basis and wish everyone involved with this restaurant well.

We have had nothing but delicious food while visiting local family here, but this was the least delicious while being the most expensive by a lot. Our server was either over-busy with other tables or doing something else. He would pop up, rush through his prepared remarks, and disappear. I couldn’t get a water refill for love or money. I agree that Willie’s next door is a better choice. Also, we had a reservation but when we arrived they tried to sit us in the bar (where no other patrons were dining) instead of the restaurant. Overall, an unpleasant use of our time and money.
