Came across Caliendo’s while my hubby and I were antiquing in Winfield. Cute place with very good food. I had their fall specials salad, which was a Green Apple Salad. Perfect portion size and really good flavor combo. I did swap out the blue cheese for mozzarella. Hubby had a steak wrap with a side of pasta salad. One side of the restaurant was an eatery while the other side was the bar area. They had a pub crawl the day we went so while the bar side was crowded, the eatery side was nice and quiet. Appreciated our server, Dawn fir handling everything on her own.

10/10 had a wonderful experience at Caliendo’s over the weekend for my birthday party. The staff was amazing. The food (every guest is still talking about it day later) was delicious- I’m dreaming of the pizza and chopped salad! It was a delight! To Dan and his staff- thank you for a wonderful evening.

I waited for about an hour for the food.
After an hour, it finally arrived and at first, I was happy because the portion was big.
But as I started eating, I realized how bad it was.
With every bite, I started feeling like I was sending danger to my stomach.
Everything tasted terrible, just indescribably bad.
I only ate the chicken from the plate, and when I got home, I started feeling nauseous.
Oh my God, it was such a horrible experience.
Maybe their other dishes are good, I don’t know, but this one was awful.

First time there. Ordered 2 entrees plus an appetizer plus 2 beers and a glass of wine. $57! Best bang for the buck! Food was great. Nice to see a restaurant not gouging its customers.

Loved the customer service! I got lunch here on my way to a park nearby and their food was delicious. I went ahead and ordered a chicken wrap accompanied by a salad pasta. Both were very well made. The lady standing me (forgot her name ) was super kind and very patient as I made up my mind on what to eat. If I ever go around there again, I’d definitely stop by again. It was also super affordable (coming from Chicago standards)

Is it an italian restaurant, diner, bar, pizza place, or ice cream shop? Yes! It is all of these, and it has separate entrances and walls dividing each. As a restaurant and diner, the pasta dishes we had were excellent. Very tasty and well paired with their sauces. The bread loaf provided was soft, hot, and had the perfect amount of butter and garlic on top. It is a great table loaf to share with your family. The patty melt I ordered medium but came out very well done but did have a nice grilled flavor, and just as a preference, the onions could have been sautéed either a little longer to better soften OR a little less to keep a crispness – these were right in between which left them right at that rubbery phase. However it’s ingredients were spot on for a good combination of flavor. The personal kid cheese pizza is my only reference of their pizza – it was very good and I imagine their typical larger versions would likely be better. I would like to return and try a chicago favorite pizza to confirm, as my incling is that it is likely great. The bar is a good size, looks comfortable and well arranged for sports viewing and social outings, and they had quite a crowd for a Sunday afternoon; i also noticed they are a Chicago Blackhawks bar. I liked the pizza takeout entrance – the small ice cream shop inside there is a great offering and touch.
