I hadn’t been back in a while, and the food was even better than I remembered. I had the chicken, carne asada, and pastor tacos, all of them were amazing. The pastor is a must-order as they really have that street taco flavor. Of course, have to mentioned the sauces: the green adds great flavor, and the red gives the perfect kick if you like spice. I also had a Michelada, and even as someone who doesn’t usually drink beer, I loved it. Service was super fast too! We came in on a busy and packed Saturday night around 8:30pm, and we had our food in a little over 10 minutes. Thoroughly enjoyed it all.

We are here for the first time and the tacos were really tasty! The guy at the counter was super friendly and considerate. My girls were having a moment and he patiently waited for me to order, luckily we were the only ones in line at the moment. I can say this location is pretty bussy and thats a great thing, tacos are great. My only criticism is that there was less meat in the tacos as the usual taco places that give a tad more meat in them. Overall I’d come back for sure! Place is clean and smells amazing!

These kiddos do a better job than actual adults. The food was spot on, and the service was genuine, welcoming, and homey. It all played into the atmosphere and they were playing bangers. You can tell the staff actually cares, and that made the whole experience even better. I’d definitely come back and recommend this place to anyone looking for good food and a great vibe

This location of Cali Tacos is garbage !!! I did not say nothing the first time I went there but after going there a second time and still getting the same service in same generic looking tacos is irritating. The thing that gets me is I normally go to the Cali Tacos in Tolleson off of 99th Ave. and Lower Buckeye and I’ve been to the one in Tempe they are phenomenal their tacos taste delicious they even look delicious but the two times I’ve been to this one I ordered the same tacos and they’re supposed to have cheese but they only have like a couple sprinkles cheese versus the other locations. It’s like if the people working here don’t care about their job and that’s what I really seem like to me it’s irritating and it seems when these places are good and they open a new location they’re not as good as the other ones and I can tell you this one is not !!!

I purchased birria and rice from this location BEWARE that the food has no flavor. They make you pay over the phone and don’t give you a receipt when you pick up your order. You have to pay for consomé which should automatically come with the tacos. Its also was flavorless as well as the tacos & rice. Barely cheese on the tacos another red flag. One of the cashiers customer service skills seemed very off. As if we the customers were bothering them. If you read the review below mine another customer said the same exact thing. Do better as a business the food is NASTY.

My favorite dish at CaliTacos is the Tacos Dorados de Birria with consomé. I’ve enjoyed them consistently at the Chandler and Tolleson locations, so I was excited to try the Avondale location. Unfortunately, this visit was disappointing.
The tacos had noticeably less meat compared to what I’ve received at the other two locations, and the consomé lacked the rich flavor I’ve come to expect. Additionally, the tortillas were overly greasy which I’ve never experienced before at CaliTacos.
Based on this experience, I won’t be returning to the Avondale location and wouldn’t recommend it. I hope the quality here can be brought up to the standard of the other locations.

I love the Tacos Dorados and always go to the Tolleson location. I also love the Cali Fries with carne asada. We live in Avondale and this is our 3rd time ordering to go from the Avondale location.
Instead of ordering the tacos dorados, which are always good, I ordered the 4 rolled tacos. Biggest disappointment and mistake. Two of the rolled tacos had little to no meat in them and what tiny amount that was in them, was all dried up. They must have fell apart in the fryer and whoever made them didn’t care and served them anyway. See pictures below.
I also wasn’t impressed with how I was greeted at the counter. The woman seemed irritated and annoyed to be doing her job. Not a very welcoming/good impression. I know it gets busy, but people still need to have customer service.
If this was my first time coming here, it would have been my last. We love the tacos Dorados, but I will never ever order rolled tacos from here ever again. I can make them 100 times better at home.
I called to talk to a manager but I was put on hold for way too long (it was a busy time) so I decided to write this review.
