Reviews
Like the other comments on here, good food, but a little pricey. Their main location in Spring Valley has a lot of good reviews, I understand why, it’s because the food was probably one of the better BBQ restaurants in SD. The person working the register said they officially open in about a week and this week was just kind of a trial run with only about 1/3 of their actual menu.
I usually get the brisket sandwich, and at 23 dollars for sammie, fries, and drink id want it to be amazing. Instead, the sauce is the star of the show. Its a tad dry on its own, and seemingly devoid of a thick bark of seasoning, to me. It is FAR from bad, but for the price charged, it could be a lot better.
I consider grand ole bbq to be the best in the county, love the absurd amount of pepper they season with, and would rather have that at the same price point. I think if they ramped up the seasoning, and dropped the price a tad, it could compete.
I’d recommend this place for anyone who wants a brisket but I’d warn about the aforementioned item
Service? Could use a bit of smile and don’t look like “I wanna get out of here”’a friendly attitude may make up for the small portions and ok food quality.
