California Burritos Hudson. Nh in Hudson, NH for a few beers, nachos & a big ass burrito. Not your typical beer spot by any means, but I was told that they had a decent craft beer selection at the bar so when I was craving something from south of the border I figured I’d check it out. I know there is multiple locations with spots in Manchester & Nashua, NH as well, but I was in the Hudson area so I figured I’d hit that one. The draft & bottle/can selection wasn’t anything crazy, but I was able to grab a couple favorites & found a new beer I hadn’t tried. They had LUNCH from Maine Beer Company & the IPA from Stoneface Brewing Company as far a craft beer goes along with a bunch of the usual domestic suspects & more. Let’s talk about the beers I scooped before we get into the food. ☘
I grabbed a nice big 32oz mug of the BELGIAN WHITE from Blue Moon Brewing Company to start the visit, it was super cold & crisp just how you want it served in a chilled glass when you get that much beer. My second beer was the IPA from Stoneface Brewing Co., one of my favorite New England IPA staples & one of the beers that made me want to discover more craft beers & helped spark my journey. My last beer was a bottle of the VICTORIA Vienna Lager, a beer I had never had before, it was a average lager, nothing amazing, but I was just happy to try something new.
The nachos I got were good, but nothing mind blowing. Everything was fine for a nacho & the price was on point, I just prefer a layered nacho with cheese & toppings on as many chips as possible. This is usually achieved by putting two trays in the oven & then stacking them on top of each other making sure all the cheese is melted properly & all the toppings are evenly cooked perfectly. My burrito was on point & for just over ten bucks I have no complaints, I left full & fulfilled between the beer & food for around $47 including a 20% tip. This place seemed to have a ton of take out going on with a long line at the counter, but I of course, went straight to the bar to seat. ☘ ✌♥️

Great margaritas flow freely at California Burritos Mexican Grill in Hudson. Rebranding to “Cali B” and doubling the facility in size by acquiring the neighboring unit has done quite nicely for them, and they have upped their game remarkably since first opening about 10 years ago. That said, Cali B is not quite the traditional Mexican restaurant featuring creative culinary cuisine. And that’s fine; it’s not supposed to be. It’s more like a large step above a Moe’s or a Chipotle, with a full bar, plenty of TVs to watch sports, nice atmosphere, and generally better food and food options. Very much recommended.

Cali burrito is a great place to eat and the food is always great. But I have ordered takeout here twice and they state my order will be ready by a specific time, and both times it has been ready almost an hour later. Currently, they stated my order would be ready by 6:32 I got here at 6:50 and they didn’t even start my order. I am now still waiting for my order to be completed and it’s 7:10. I’m fine with it taking a while, but be honest about the pickup time.

This used to be one of my favorite places. In the last few weeks, I’ve gone there twice to eat with my family, but it’s impossible to stay because it’s unbearably cold, like being outside, and apparently the heating is broken. The only comfortable place is the restroom. It’s a shame that you can’t go to a family restaurant in these freezing temperatures. I feel so sorry for the employees who have to work there bundled up against the cold. I hope they don’t get sick because of the terrible conditions in the restaurant.

Food is usually great. Space is clean. But if you think about ordering take out, you might as well just order inside. Or, order, take the time they say it’ll be ready by, then add 40 minutes

Service is awful. I placed an order online it was never made. I requested twice for it to be made and they never made it just continued to take orders. I then asked for a refund as I needed to get back to work and they insisted it was coming out. 10 more minutes passed while countless other people came in and out. I left with no burrito and late for work. Why accept online orders if they will only help the customers in the take-out line?

I got to the restaurant at 2:33 PM, which is when I was told my order would be ready. To my surprise, it was completely empty! What really caught me off guard was that they hadn’t even started making my food yet! I was left sitting there, wondering if anyone knew about my order. It felt like my order was forgotten, and honestly, it was pretty disappointing. The service here is always horrible, and they’ve also gotten cheap with portions. The only reason I still come is that it beats Chipotle in pricing and food quality.

Cali Burrito is one of my fav spots, prices are unbeatable and the food is always fresh. I come here at least 3-4 times a month. The only thing I wish that was better is the wait time. Sometimes it can take 15-25 min to get to actually order. Nonetheless, if you are looking for a place to stop in for lunch or a night out, this is a great place. They have expanded their location in Hudson and it has a bar now!
