I was in Lake Forest yesterday and searched for halal food, and Google recommended this spot. It wasn’t far, so we decided to stop by. From the start, the service was amazing.. the young Mexican lady who helped us was super friendly and guided us through the menu.
I ordered a chicken sandwich and a kids’ chicken strips meal for my little brother. While waiting, we couldn’t help but admire the aesthetics of the restaurant, it’s beautifully kept and incredibly clean. You can tell the owner cares about the details and values cleanliness, which is rare to see at this level.
When our food arrived, we were pleasantly surprised by the portion sizes (very generous! ) The food itself was delicious, perfectly seasoned, and satisfying. Everything from the service to the food to the atmosphere was spot on.
Thank you for serving us, we’ll definitely be back and try different items on the menu.

Delicious food, great customer service , we got our food fast , my kids liked their cute pancake . And ambience is nice, space is clean and spacious. Definitely recommend. Hope they will stay there for a long time!!!

First time ordering from here. My husband got the garlic chicken sandwich which was fine and I got a built your own bowl with tawook, rice, hummus, avocado, and garlic sauce. Bowl was fine for the most part but I am irked that we paid extra for the avocado and they gave us spoiled avocado. All of it was black through the vascular strings so none of it was edible. How anyone could look at avocado like that and still serve it to someone is beyond me. Unfortunately, we ordered pick up and didn’t look at it until we got home.

I’ve been so excited for this spot to open. I came here for breakfast with my family and we all loved it. Small, family owned business, everything made in house. Food was excellent. My kids loved it too. We don’t have enough spots like this in Lake Forest – come out and support them!

Lastnight for my b’day, we decided to just stay home and order from Calf and Chick and have it delivered. From the picture on the website, the grilled beef sandwich and the description looked like a winner. Well, hate to be negative, but to be honest it looked nothing like the picture. Bell peppers? Absent. Onions? Absent. Cheese? The picture shows it oozing out. Mine? Something resembling cheese stuck to the bun. It could have been the mayo. The ground beef though very tasty had a tablespoon smashed onto the inside of each bun then put together. The bun was a bit stale. It WAS a quick delivery and with all the good reviews I will give it another try.

Food was good “but” the food came out for one of us and 10 minutes later for the other. My omelette wasn’t cooked all the way…runny eggs in spots. We had to ask for butter with my toast and all condiments are in paper envelope packaging form. Bacon was overcooked. Food was pretty (crepes) but consistency would be better, like timing and all parts to each dish….come out at once. They have a very limited menu also. Don’t know if we’ll come back.
