I’m not usually a barbecue or even a mexican food person, but holy crap, this food was phenomenal. I ate ever single bite of my pulled pork sandwich and the mac n cheese was amazing. They mixed peppers or something good in there because it wasn’t like any other mac n cheese I’ve ever had. I’m telling you, GET THE MAC N CHEESE!

I ate here for the first time last night and it did not disappoint. The counter staff were very friendly and patient as i asked questions. Tyey offered me a sample of the briskets and their elote. The food was excellent. I had two brisket tacos and one Birria taco with a side of macaroni and cheese. The brisket was tender and juicy. The portion they served was not disappointing. The macaroni and cheese was creamy and cheesy. They have their own sauces and they were very good. Definitely try the mustard and the sweet & spicy. I will definitely be back.

First time trying this concept and was a bit underwhelming. I wasn’t offered any suggestions for what was good for this concept but overall still friendly. Now the main entree the brisket was what really disappointed me. For the fatty piece it was tough on one end which was surprising and disappointing. The mac and cheese was amazing and soo good. The corn was good as well. Not anything id try again. The corn at the regular bbq concept is so much better. Overall a bit of a let down but maybe I should try some other items.

As a gluten free diner I can usually count BBQ and tacos as safe options. This place absolutely knocked my socks off. My husband and I got three tacos, one tostada, elote, and calabacitas. The food came out fast and fresh. If you are gluten free just specify when you order so they put your tacos on corn tortillas! I’ll have to try the gluten free banana pudding next time!

I don’t really care where Caldwell County is, the good people of Gilbert are lucky to have it here. We stopped in for dinner tonight, intrigued by what Mexi-Q might portend. Reader, it portends tender, flavorful brisket goodness bathed in birria.

A small shop, you order at the counter and watch your meal come together. Do not sleep on the staff’s suggestions. My wife had the birria taco as well as the green chile taco at their suggestion and it did not disappoint. I had the brisket burrito and Madre Santa Mia, what a delight. The aforementioned tender, flavorful brisket was clothed in a homemade tortilla that held the goodness inside together like a champ. The refried beans were creamy and delicious. The pico added just the right crunch and zest. The onions, which so often overtake everything, were subtle. This was a banger of a burrito. The House BBQ sauce enhanced every bite with just a hint of sweetness.

Sat outside and it was delightful. A couple members of the staff came around to each table to see how everything was. Friendly folks.

Totally worth a return visit.

This is a great spot to satisfy cravings for Mexican food or barbecue. This South Central Texas style Mexi-Q joint is serving up some outstanding chile verde tacos and stick-to-your-ribs Mac and cheese. The burrito is highly recommended as well. Everything is great here, including the sauces and salsa.

My husband and I stopped by this place to see what it’s all about, in general, it’s ok. We ordered 2 birria tacos, birria burrito, elote, banana cream pudding and strawberry magarita, bottled coke; that totaled $55! Each taco was $7! The tacos were too salty for my liking, the burrito was a decent size, the consume was ok. The margarita was good, wasn’t too sweet or too alcoholy (is that a word? ) My husband said the banana pudding was good. We probably won’t be going back, we have other places we prefer with better food and better prices. They had awesome music playing and good seating in the shade outside so those are a plus.

First off, I must say… I have had and made a ton of bbq. This place was soon great. The brisket is unbelievable, the sausage is Devine, the Mac n cheese… Omg. I would definitely recommend this place if you’re looking for not you’re topical standard bbq. This is Arizona bbq at its core.

Got the Mexican Street corn with Brisket and the Texas Twinkie. Both were excellent. Staff was friendly and quick. The outside seating was nice. Great spot for some Mexican inspired BBQ.
