I’m from the south and tbh I hadn’t found good bbq in Phoenix until I stopped by Caldwell County. I just went this last week and was blown away by several things.
1) The Service: They were always walking around asking if we needed anything. They were purposely going out of their way to serve us. That’s great service!
2) They offered to give us a tour of the pits and explain how they do everything. That was amazing and loved to learn. Every single person was friendly and engaging. The atmosphere is fun and love the rustic southern feel.
3) THE FOOD!!!: I know I left this one until last but the BBQ truly was amazing and blew me away. I had been looking for a great bbq place out here for years but nothing was good enough until I came here. I had the brisket and pulled pork and wow. Cooked just right and the brisket was juicy. Love their sides bar and that they let you sample it before ordering what you want.
I will def be coming back and so thankful to have a great bbq place nearby!

First time there on a Monday at 4 :30. A clean new place in old Town Peoria. Big open air patio with heaters and high pressure misters. Outside bar seating, and plenty of seating for families. The concept is a deli style ordering. Meat is sold by the half pound. You can sample some of the meats. The sides are very good. We had the corn Cassidy, Mac and cheese and pinto beans as sides. Wife had pulled pork sandwich, very healthy helping of pork. Very tender and moist. I had the patton, brisket and sausage sandwich. Quality food, service and atmosphere makes this place a repeat for us.

Brisket is BBQ, sadly at Caldwell county it’s more like pot roast. It wasn’t the worst brisket I’ve ever tasted, but they’ve got to do better.
Burnt ends were very delicious. Surprisingly they were in their own unique sauce, instead of one of their three table sauces.
Turkey, very moist and flavorful.
Sausage was meaty and not greasy .
Pork ribs will fall off the bone and glazed well.
Pulled pork had good flavor. It was a touch on the dry side for my liking but not bad.
Sides: yummy Mac n cheese, cowboy beans that sneak up on you.
Dessert: Banana pudding – The perfect ending
Atmosphere was great as tremendous potential. Overall staff of service was on point and energetic and enthusiastic.

Not to big on the sides but the meat was good we had a pound of lean and moist brisket they were both good and soft I like the moist better. Also got a rack of pork ribs they were soft and had good flavor. Only thing I would complain about is the sausage they don’t have a plain one just jalapeño cheddar.

Really good food. I’m excited for Peoria as well as this is a good spot for the neighborhood. Lots of people there when I went day 2 opening but the line moved really quick. The manager and other hosts came by to make sure everything was good. The chocolate chip cookie was great too!
The ONLY thing I’d change is the bread they give you, I’d like a Texas toast or something a little higher quality and I’d pay for it!

Oh…my…God! Absolutely delicious!!! I don’t even know where to start…but everything we ordered was delectable! Customer service is amazing. Minor glitch with our pickup order that was fixed without any issues and with a big smile!!!

Great family friendly, incredible customer service, beautiful restaurant with food that will make you hurt yourself- in a good way! First date, family night, girls trip…whatever the occasion- add Caldwell County BBQ to the agenda. The smoke team are masters of their craft! Thank you for coming to West Valley. Today we had the Family 4 meal…to have leftovers. There are only two of us. Listen here- we almost over did it. It was so good we couldn’t stop eating! Ribs, pulled pork, brisket…oh, the burnt ends sell out daily! And let’s not forget the Mac & cheese and Corn casserole!!! OMG!

Really awesome place and great location. The BBQ was delicious and IMO it’s top 3 in AZ. We met one of the pit masters, Yogi and he offered to take us for a tour of the smokers where we met more pit masters and learned about their process.
