Excellent steakhouse with outstanding Argentine beef. We had the tenderloin medallion and a ribeye – both cooked perfectly, with great flavor and top-quality meat. The ribeye in particular was incredibly juicy and well balanced.

Special thanks to our waiter Elias, who was extremely friendly, attentive, and professional. His service really elevated the whole experience.

Great atmosphere, excellent food, and impeccable service. One of our best dining experiences in Buenos Aires – highly recommended.

Food — the best steak I’ve ever eaten. Other items were also superb

Service — on point, professional, no flair nor drama

Atmosphere — cozy and quiet.

This was a delight. I hope I’ll be able to return here sometime.

Fantastic meat choices. We had skirt steak that REALLY needs to be tried. Marianno gave us a great wine recommendation that we really appreciated. Finally music choices were great but very low tone allowing for all conversations. If you are in BA don’t miss this place.

I have flown from Texas to BsAs twice in the last year just to spend 8 hours on the ground to have lunch at Calden Del Soho. So have several friends of mine. I have also done the same to eat at Don Julio.

There is no need to waste your money at Don Julio.

Calden Del Soho is half the price and just as good or better. And no wait.

The steaks and service are fantastic and absolutely worth sitting on a plane for 12 hours.

We will be back.

Thank you for an unforgettable valentines meal.

⭐ 3.5 / 5 – Good food, but poor timing, service, and facilities let it down

We’re tourists from Europe and really wanted to love this place — the food had potential, but several service issues spoiled the experience.

We were welcomed with complimentary bread and dips, which was a nice touch. Unfortunately, when my steak arrived, the waiter didn’t replace my plate, so it ended up with bread crumbs and salsa on it. Two of our three sides came out promptly, but the mashed potatoes didn’t arrive until we’d already finished our meal. Food was served as it was ready rather than being coordinated for a proper dining experience.

The men’s bathroom was very basic and needs attention — there was even no lock on the toilet door.

When paying, the waiter asked us to add a 10% tip. Tips should be left to the customer’s choice, based on service, not requested directly. We still paid it to avoid awkwardness, but a more discreet approach would be better.

On the positive side, the fillet steak was good, the creamed spinach tasty (though it cooled quickly — a hot dish would help), the rocket and parmesan salad was fresh, and the mashed potatoes were nice once they finally arrived.

Overall, the kitchen timing, service training, and bathroom upkeep need work before this restaurant can live up to its potential. Other reviewers have mentioned similar delays, so this issue still seems unresolved.

Mauricio, the owner greeted us and Daniel the server delivered an excellent local mushroom with cream sauce dish as a starter. I ordered the ribeye steak medium rare with garlic fries. The steak was cooked perfectly, properly salted with just the right browning on the outside. The best tasting ribeye I’ve had in Argentina so far after eating at five different steakhouses in Buenos Aires. I opted for outside seating as it was a perfect nighttime temperature. The steakhouse is well worth a visit.

An unforgettable experience at Calden del Soho Grill
I’ve been to many steakhouses, but Calden del Soho Grill in Buenos Aires stood out for its excellence across the board. From the moment I walked in, I sensed an elegant yet welcoming atmosphere that immediately made me feel at ease.
The staff deserves special mention: not only were they incredibly professional and attentive in suggesting the perfect pairing with local wines, but the service was impeccable, always present but never intrusive.

Tourist Trap. Expensive prices and low quality meat. I ordered the Medallon Lomo which normally is a very tender filet. But the meat delivered was a very tough cheap cut of beef, very hard to chew. It was not a lomo / filet. I had been to Calden in the past years with better experience. This time AR$50000 for a tough peace of meat was a big disappoinment. The good news is there are many other parrillas in Buenos Aires.

The food here is amazing! I had the rib eye (ojo de bife) and it was perfect — juicy red center with a crispy fat cap, exactly how an Argentine parrilla should be. Just a heads-up for folks from North America: their “medium” is more like a medium-rare back home. The beef is grass-fed, simply seasoned with salt, and grilled over wood or charcoal, so you really taste the flavor. Add the crusty bread and spicy chimichurri, and I was in heaven. Bonus: they give a discount if you pay cash. Definitely worth it!
