Best place my mother and I enjoy. The quality of food is excellent. Highly recommend the tripa tacos and the chile relleno tacos. Todas las aguas frescas are delicious, my favorite is Tamarindo.

Had such a relaxing visit here! Our server was so sweet and did such a great job the entire time. She was quick with the menus and checking up on us and was absolutely the best. The food was great as well, I love their beans and Baja tacos. The lemonade was a great highlight as well! I always love the atmosphere in here too, the paintings on the walls are beautiful. Can’t wait to come back ❤️

The food is 10/10, highly recommend. Some of the best RGV tacos I’ve had. They have an amazing 2×1 special on Tuesday for al pastor or bistec tacos. The first time we went the service was amazing, fast, and super friendly. Second time around, unfortunately I can’t say the same. I understand lunch time is a busy time but that shouldn’t be at the expense of basic costumer service. The young lady we had was very unapologetically slow, not very friendly, and ultimately forgot all about us. Food was delayed, no drink refills (even after asking), and just a dismissive attitude of our wait time. Sadly, I don’t think I’d like to spend my money at an establishment that has very inconsistent service. Management, please take note.

This cool spot has the best authentic tacos in Texas. Don’t forget to try their refreshing fresh homemade mango or cucumber lemonade topped off with tamarind and mangos. The service is friendly and the you can enjoy your meal al fresco on their spacious patio. They never disappoint.

We love coming to this location because the outdoor seating is nice and you can look over the water and palm trees, just a relaxing and comforting atmosphere for you to enjoy your meal; especially at night.

I started with my favorite michelada, opting for the mango rather than usual original I get and they’re always so flavorful, especially paired with a cold Mexican beer. They top it with Mexican candies and the mango one is topped with mango pieces as well. They’re cold, refreshing, and a great size and bargain for what you get.

We started with the choriqueso appetizer and it came out scalding hot, we had to wait to dig in, but it just goes to show how fresh they make the food to order here. The cheese was so gooey and melted and it paired well with both the made in house flour and corn tortillas.

I always used to get the street tacos, the crispy tripa being my usual favorite, but I decided to try something different and I’m glad I did. The pancita tacos come deconstructed with the flaming hot tortillas on the side for you to create your own taco with the fixings on the side, the guacamole, salsa, and onions/cilantro. The pork belly was juicy, flavorful, and a large portion, I had to box up the rest of it.

We also wanted to try the tostadas and I got the deshebrada one while my boyfriend got the volcan de cochinita pibil. My deshebrada tostada was flavorful, delicious and the tostada itself with crisp and not soggy from the toppings. My boyfriend’s was delicious as well and I finished it for him as the pickled onions were a bit too sour for his liking, and a tad bit too spicy but I enjoyed it as well.

Delicious food, delight able service, and a pleasant atmosphere.

I have been wanting to bring my boys here FOREVER !! My youngest sons birthday made the perfect excuse.
The service was fast and friendly, great with kids ( some with picky orders). And the Atmosphere was more than expected. It was cold outside when we went, can’t wait to return and enjoy the outside seating options.

First time at this location. Staff was friendly. Baja fish tacos were good as in Harlingen location. Ribeye tacos lacked flavor and were over cooked asked for medium got well done. Beans do not recommend as they have no flavor. 3/28/25 had the beans especial were a bit salty but okay. The Baja fish tacos did not disappoint they were good and filling definitely would order again.

The first few times we picked up food here, everything was great. However, recently (within the past month) service has been a bit unprofessional and rude. I am bilingual and speak both spanish and english very well, but in my opinion it is inconsiderate towards customers to have employees who do not speak english (it can be an inconvenience). Employees don’t greet all customers & are at times unprofessional to assume every customer picking up an order is a doordasher when they are indeed not. Additional, today when I placed an order, one of my birria quesadilla pieces had nothing inside. Their food is great, but their customer service is unpredictable, I don’t think ill be returning to this location. I wanted to leave this constructive feedback as awareness to everyone.

We really enjoyed our time here at Calacas. The decor of the place was awesome and the food was delicious. The server was nice however she didn’t speak or try to speak a lick of English. Thankfully she was able to understand my broken Spanish. Would totally go back.
