I searched and found some west Indian food coming straight from the airport. I was starving. The spot has a very authentic vibe with a few Caribbean comfort items for purchase besides the food (hot sauce, biscuits, ackee, etc..)

I tried the stew king fish with peas and rice and the oxtails with white rice. Both dinners came with sweet plantains and steamed veggies. The fish, although very tasty, was cooked a little too hard. I believe it was fresh as the lady told me it would take 20 minutes to cook. The oxtails were tasty but the gravy was very thin, which I’m not used to (Jamaican restaurants in NYC hot different) and there were no butter beans.. Interesting because I’ve never eaten oxtails without rich thick gravy and butter beans. The plantains and peas and rice were delicious The veggies were okay but I prefer mine with a little crunch. I would definitely try again, should I visit SC and try another dish. They were very pleasant and welcoming.

This is a great Caribbean restaurant! Today was our first time eating here. We decided to dine in, so I ordered the Jerk chicken dinner and my spouse ordered the Oxtail dinner. The food was well-seasoned, spicy and very delicious! I also had a fruit punch drink which from the taste, I could tell was made from real fruit juices and not artificially made. My spouse had a Vita Malt which he really enjoyed. The atmosphere was very vibrant and the music made us feel as if we were in the Caribbean. ️ I highly recommend this restaurant if you are looking for some great Jamaician food!

The food looked so beautiful until you try eating it. The rice was hard. The oxtail was cold. The only hot thing that was in that platter were the vegetables & thts sad. I had just finished a shift and wanted something good to eat. I heard about Calabash and wanted to check them out. I live pretty close to the restaurant. So, it’s not like I brought my food and had to drive far because I didn’t. I brought my food, I went straight home to eat and the damn $30 Oxtail platter was cold and not worth $30. The veggies were great and hot . The rice was hard and cold, one of the oxtails was warm one . If you’re prices are going to go up so should your temperature on the food you’re serving

Visiting the area from out of state and had a taste for some good Jamaican food. I ordered the curry goat and oxtail and it came with plantain, rice and peas and cabbage…. 10/10!! The serving size was great for the $ and everything was so flavorful and tender. Even the roti skin I ordered on the side was delicious. I’ll keep this place saved for whenever I come back to visit.

Great Jamaican food! I have stopped here a few times being that I have to past it leaving work and it never disappoints. They have a good menu, Great juice, and a variety of Caribbean foods you can buy in store. The staff are friendly and the prices are fair. I often get the Ox tail dinner with peas n rice along with the cabbage and plantains. It is delicious! I would also recommend grabbing a juice. They are fresh and favorable. Thier Jamaican beef patties are also a delight. It’s located just before the I26 on ramps on St. Andrew’s road. You can stop in the jump on the interstate or you can sit in and eat. Give them a try!

Not only is the staff extremely friendly and the environment welcoming, but the food is absolutely Outstanding. I tried the beef, jerk chicken, and curry patties, which were flaky and delicious. As an entrée, I purchased the oxtail and jerk chicken combo which is my first time having oxtail and I cannot wait to go back And have it again! 15 out of 10 recommend!

I’ve been several times, each visit the food was hot, fresh & delicious. The portions are huge! Friendly staff.
Today, I ordered Tilapia with vegetables, rice, and plantains. I have enough for lunch and dinner. I highly recommend this restaurant.

Exotic and comforting at the same time! It’s hard to find vegan/vegetarian cuisine to get excited about on the road, but authentic Jamaican jerk, ackee, plantain, saltfish, fresh juices and sinful, sticky desserts are something to get excited about. Portions are big, prices are very fair. They make their own juices! I had the Pineapple/ginger to go with my jerk veggies with rice and beans. When I return to Columbia in a few weeks, Im coming back for more.

I called & paid for several items. It took us 40 minutes to arrive and we were asked to wait 20+ more minutes. We did wait because of the reviews. The price didn’t match the portions of starch & veggies. However, the flavors were good (rice and peas too dry) and the fresh juices were perfect! Caribbean folk will appreciate the few staples that they stock. The staff was sweet and apologetic, as well. I’m considering returning during our next visit…..
