My husband and I just moved to the area and we had several recommendations to try this restaurant and we were thoroughly impressed by the atmosphere the service and the amazing food and drinks that we were served during our visit. Everybody was so friendly. It was fast and incredible service and everything tasted wonderful for food. Everything I got was perfect. My husband got oysters and he got a pasta dish, and I had pork chops and mushroom and a salad. Everything was delicious. He said his pasta was a little salty, but other than that everything was made to order and everybody was kind the prices were good. The sizes the portions were very filling and there was a lot of food. It was just a great place to go really close to home and gives you the downtown feel without having to go downtown I highly recommend and will become a regular. Thanks for the amazing service.

What a GREAT PLACE: excellent food (the absolute best in the greater Pittsburgh area in my humble opinion), really, really good service (by the most attentive and courteous Elly), and a really nice atmosphere.
Food: Since we are geezers and live about an hour away, we went for the early bird special. Our reservation was for 5:00 and we were promptly seated by a courteous hostess. Elly apprised us of the daily specials of which there were quite a few. She spoke expertly about them all. Colleen had the lobster stuffed ravioli served with gulf shrimp in a silky pink leek sauce with pine nuts. FANTASTIC! I had the Cajun pork chop, peppercorned and served with stuffed banana peppers and tomatoe sauce. Also FANTASTIC as well as spicy – yum. The chop was >1″ thick and could not have been better cooked. Both came with different and equally delicious mixed vegetables. (These veggies were perfectly cooked.)
Service: From the hostess to Elly to the other assistants everyone was attentive and proficient. Service truly is EXCELLENT.
Atmosphere: The place is quite small but is tastefully appointed with large mirrors, brick and wood to create a pleasant environment for dining.
HIGHLY, HIGHLY RECOMMENDED.

I was really looking forward to having a meal here, but overall it was ok for the price. Upon entering we were supposed to be seated at a booth which is very uncomfortable for me. I felt like I was greatly inconveniencing the staff by request to sit at a half table half booth. It made an already awkward ask even worse. I noticed every bit of hot food we had was over-salted. If there wasn’t so much salt, it would have been wonderful. Not sure about the black beans mixed with green beans and zucchini as an included side. Green beans and zucchini were great until you got to the beans.

Very much loved the place. The drinks are fantastic and the portions are plentiful. The only reason I didn’t give it a perfect rating was the crab cakes had too much breading for my liking. The Cod was very good, maybe a bit over cooked but we really liked the place

We hadn’t been to Cala Lily since pre-pandemic. We recalled it being a good meal and a pleasant experience so we decided to go back for our anniversary. Wow! It was just outstanding. Service was great. Tables were close but didn’t seem intrusively so. There listed nearly 20 interesting martinis at $10 each. But the food-omg. We started with meatballs and mushrooms which were tastier than any appetizer I recall having in the past. Dinner salads were just right and there aren’t enough superlatives to describe the entrees. First of all, they looked great on the plates. We had salmon from the menu which was yummy and an off-the-menu special Chilean sea bass. The sea bass was made with a macadamia nut entrusting and covered in a cherry glaze which included actual cherries. OK, the sea bass was expensive at $58 but it was out of this world. I order sea bass whenever it’s available so I’ve had it often but this treatment was unlike anything I’ve ever had. I had intended to get some kind of steak but, when I heard the server describe the sea bass, I had to try it.
We cannot wait to go back to see their next batch of specials.

4.3. Went for dinner last night. Great ambiance and vibe. Started with the greens and beans which were the best I’ve ever had. We ended up getting a second order for the table it was so good. The wedge salad was quite simplistic with it just being a wedge of lettuce and three slices of tomato. That was a little surprising to me, but the homemade ranch dressing was fantastic. For my main, I had one of the probably 10 daily specials, a swordfish steak. It was pretty good. Drinks were good, and the staff was very friendly. I’d definitely recommend this place to anyone in the area.
