The loaded avocado toast with the hot honey is delicious, better than I was anticipating. The iced latte was delicious too and the sizing – oh my gosh literally how I need all coffee shops to start sizing. Do I need the equivalent of a bog gulp sized iced latte? Probably not. But did i drink literally every drop of it? Absolutely. The store was a great little place to sit for a bit and enjoy the smells of whatever they were baking, I’m jealous of whoever got what was in that oven because it smelled heavenly.

Cake Krums Cafe was an exceptional vendor to use for our wedding. We ordered lunch for the entire bridal suite, which was phenomenal! We also had cupcakes and a mini cake on our dessert table. All of the cupcakes were gone by the end of the night. They were a hit! Thank you so much!

We used Cake Krums for our wedding cake and we couldn’t have been happier! Merri worked with us to create our dream design inspired by the wildflowers at our venue. I admittedly have very high expectations and Merri and team at Cake Krums aboslutely knocked it out of the park! The cake was not only beautiful, and exactly what we wanted, it was absolutely delicious! We did red velvet and the sangria for a two tier cake and it was perfect. Pricing was fair for the design and she delivered it to our venue in Madison free of charge! We’ve also been in the cafe a couple of times for sweets and breakfast treats. We highly recommend Cake Krums!

My Daughter lives out-of-state and called in an order of Chocolate dipped Strawberries for my birthday. Delicious! We have also stopped in for a coffee and snack. Great people, pastries and more. The history of the shop is a fun bonus!

I got an iced latte from here. It was watery and not good. I had previously gotten an iced latte before and it also was not good but I figured it was an off day and to try again another time. I ended up calling and asking for a refund since I was about 20 minutes from the shop. When the owner/manager took the phone call, she proceeded to tell me that “someone had ordered the same drink and they loved it” and proceeded to try and justify that nothing was wrong with the drink. She then told me that the drink was probably watery because it was an iced latte. I’m thankful the my coffee was refunded but I learned my lesson and will not go back. I have heard some things about the managers attitude but never fully believed it until I experienced it myself.

I found this place just be happenstance and I’m so glad I did! The owner is super friendly and the prices are very reasonable. I bought some of their cupcakes and donuts. The donuts are a light cake texture that I could eat a dozen of at one time! The spice of the apple butter donut is phenomenal-strong, but not overpowering. The cinnamon sugar on top is the perfect amount and complements the spices well. I ate it too quickly to take a photo.. >.<
Next is a chocolate cupcake with what looks like a marshmallow filling topped with chocolate frosting, marshmallows, and nuts. The chocolate cake is super moist and has a nice chocolate flavor. The marshmallow filling is smooth and adds a gentle sweetness to the chocolate. Oh man! The frosting is like eating fudge–and not a super rich fudge that you can’t eat too much of. This is fantastic! Both the texture and flavor are like a delicious fudge. The texture additions of marshmallow, nuts, and chocolate chips on top really add a whole new level of flavor to the cupcake! It does fall apart pretty easily, but for how good this is, you would scarf it down and make a mess anyway. 😉 Seriously, she could make that frosting into a bar with those mix ins she used on top and sell fudge. Delicious!
Next is an apple pie cupcake (forgive me if I forgot the specific name) Don’t let the picture fool you. She decorated it beautifully. I just had a long drive with lots of turns. The icing is a cream cheese frosting and it is so smooth! It is not too tart either, very nice. Mmmm the filling on top is like eating that apple pie you just didn’t have room for so you ate it the next day for breakfast. Great amount of cinnamon and I love the apple chunks! Wow! I never thought cream cheese and apple pie would go together, but that frosting and filling complement each other so well! Great tangy and sweet combo! The cupcake (I’m assuming vanilla) is great too! It has good structure and flavor that doesn’t overpower the other flavors present in the icing and topping/filling.
Last we have a lemon blueberry donut. I love that I can see the blueberries in the batter! The glaze is a lemon glaze and boy does it have lemon flavor! The lemon comes out so nicely, but still gentle enough you aren’t puckering your lips. Pow! You take a bite and a whole blueberry bursts in your mouth! So tasty. The donut texture is not too dense and has a subtle lemon flavor also. This is absolutely delicious.
I bake, but I haven’t tasted donuts and cupcakes like this. You must go visit here! Even if it’s a drive. I drove an hour and a half to get there. And you get free coffee with your purchase! The owner was even so nice and took the extra time to make me hot chocolate since I don’t drink coffee. Highly recommend this place and I will definitely go again!!

We chose Cake Krums to bake our wedding cake. Merri was absolutely fabulous from our cake tasting all the way until delivery day. She is a very busy hard working baking woman so we tried to only contact her when it was absolutely necessary to and when we did, she responded in a reasonable timeframe. The day of delivery there was a last minute tweak to the delivery schedule but she communicated with my wedding coordinator to work that out. Extra Tip: get yourself a wedding coordinator lol! Merri baked a very tasty three tiered, three flavored cake for us and the guests to enjoy. She also placed faux flowers I provided to her and our cake topper on the cake. In the pictures, you may see the cake leaning just a little bit, but I do not believe that was due to anything that Merri or her staff did. It was a little warm in our venue around the time we cut our cake at 7 PM and two of the icings were made of cream cheese. Overall we were satisfied and our guests are still talking about that cake!
