Had the Shrimp and Grits and Hush Puppies. It was pretty good especially since it is a new dish to me. The Service was also really quick. No Wait for a Table and Our Food Arrived in like 5 Minutes. Only thing Lacking was the Atmosphere being a bit bland but it is still a good new restaurant to visit for Cajun Food in Eau Claire.

The catfish basket from Cajun Red’s was delicious(!) and reasonably priced. Collards, slaw, hush puppies, and cornbread were also amazing. The flavors were all pleasantly atypical. The tartar sauce and remoulade were excellent. Plus, no soy in the slaw or the two sauces. I am looking forward to trying more of the menu. Thank you for an enjoyable experience!

Update: 2/28/26: Delicious beyond words!!*** I did an ubereats order about 8:30pm on 12/26/25. Got my food about 30 mins later and man oh man was it good. I ordered the pasta, (2) 6 grilled shrimps, mac & cheese, & 2 collard greens. It was the perfect meal and worth the money!! Will definitely try other items available! #chubbytruckerapproved

Cajun Reds had a cool atmosphere and friendly staff. My wife had the chicken strip basket and I had the dark meat chicken and catfish basket. Absolutely DELICIOUS! You won’t eat these baskets and say you’re still hungry. My basket was enough food for two people for sure, but I love leftovers so I’ll order again for myself. Great chicken! GREAT catfish!!!

Food was spectacular! I got the Chicken Sandwich with buffalo sauce and it was amazing (juicy and flavorful)! This was my second time back in a week because the first time I had the creamy fettuccine add chicken and was so filling and the noodles were perfectly cooked, and the chicken was a perfect addition. The hush puppies were definitely some of the best ones I’ve had since being down in Mississippi! My mom got the Jambalaya and although I didn’t think it was spicy she did but she still got to enjoy it.

I’m a tough critic when it comes to Southern food being I’m from the south, so I really wanted to give an honest review. On our first visit, my husband loved the catfish, and the hush puppies were delicious. My chicken was just okay, but the red beans and rice were absolutely fantastic. My husband also enjoyed the mac and cheese. The sweet potato tater tots were good, though the sweet potato fries definitely need some improvement.
One thing I do want to mention: if you’re serving fried fish, customers really shouldn’t have to pay extra for tartar sauce. Also, several items were forgotten at our table, and we had to get up and ask for them. For the price point, the service needs a bit more attention.
On our second visit, we ordered the fried catfish again, but this time it was mushy. Overall, the food wasn’t as good as the first time, and the cornbread, to be honest, was not good. I don’t enjoy being overly critical, but feedback like this helps a place improve and hopefully stay in business—especially in Eau Claire, where restaurants like this often struggle to last. That’s why we share these reviews: so things can be corrected.

I really hope the restaurant can work out the kinks—food consistency, service, even things like the leaking roof. I do plan on coming back, and I’m hopeful the experience will continue to improve.

I don’t usually get chicken. Wife was craving it.
We got the Dark Meat Family Meal . And holy moly, was there a truck load of food! It was sight to see.
Chicken was fantastic, and so was the fries.
I think the cornbread was a bit dry, but we still loved it.
I’ve never had hush puppies, but not a fan. They taste good. Not knocking them, but definitely not my thing.

Extremely extremely nice Lil restaurant good atmosphere. My wife and both my kids came on Friday for dinner. Everything we order was amazing from the catfish and fried chicken to the pasta. And the dessert are by far some of the best around the cheesecake is AMAZING. It’s nice to have something different around the 715. I really really hope this restaurant stays around the area. Definitely give them a try you won’t be disappointed.
