This review is based only on the food I ordered and it was simply just ok you get a generous amount of food for the price but even though I feel like it was cooked right it lacked flavor for me and when you spend a certain amount you don’t want to buy it because you get alot of food it needs to be good! From what I heard it’s a hit or miss this was my first time and it’s a 1 and done for me nothing about it made me want to give a second try. Also the service was kind of like here’s your food BYE lol not that I care but it’s not like buisness was booming a have a nice day would of been cool atleast lol

Friendly folks, but it takes a while to get your food. Not a good option if you have limited time. The restaurant smells amazing, the food is good, but I was hoping I would taste more of the Cajun spices. It wasn’t as flavorful as I was hoping, and it wasn’t at all hot (spicy). I had the crawdad etouffee. I’ll try them again, and I’ll ask for extra spicy next time.

LISTEN TO ME. We went to Cajun Island yesterday after driving past it for so long we finally took the plunge and I have discovered a new favorite. With a quirky and weird atmosphere but a delicious home cooked feel, Cajun Island is my new go-to to take friends from out of town. I got the shrimp and crab pasta with lobster sauce and they got the blackened chicken and both of the dishes were out of this world flavorful. The spices were just right and the portions were quite large. I can’t wait to go back, it was such rich food and I can’t wait to try more. Highly recommend on stopping here for lunch or dinner. I will be stopping for party platters the next event I host because this food is too good not to be shared with everyone!

I can’t believe I was missing out on such a great place. I thought this review posted when we initially went, in June. Today was our second visit. Still good. More flavorful and less greasy the first time when the owner was there. Looking forward to next time, we all know “Third time’s a charm.”

I ate here a few months ago and the food was amazing. Service was slow then, but tonight it took almost a full hour for our order. While we sat waiting in the restaurant. Both times I have been here it was incredibly loud and hard to hear anyone talking. We ended up going home instead of eating in once the food was ready. My food tonight was incredibly salty, and my mom’s gator bites were incredibly chewy not to mention they also forgot the sauce that was supposed to come with it. My kids fries were incredibly floppy and undercooked. I don’t think I’ll be coming back here again.

My favorite Cajun restaurant. Of course blacked chicken with bow tie pasta w/extra bourbon sauce, and 3 chocolate chip cookies I usually get peanut butter but they were out.

I still enjoy the blacken chicken pasta (when it’s saucy and not dried out). The bourbon chicken and rice is good. Wish they would get the fried alligator back or update the menu. They said the fryer was broken but they bought a new one and were waiting for someone to install it….that was about January 2023.
