This restaurant surpasses my initial expectations. The culinary offerings are exceptionally delectable, with flavors that are truly remarkable. Initially, I harbored reservations about the quality of the food, particularly regarding its comparison to the renowned boiling crab. However, my concerns were unfounded. While I opted for takeout, the seafood was equally impressive, rivaling the quality of the boiling crab. Consequently, I no longer need to endure a 45-minute to one-hour drive to satisfy my cravings for shrimp or seafood.

After a long football game, my family and I came to enjoy what we thought would be great food and service. On the contrary. The fees are ridiculous. The seafood “boil” is not a boil but everything is a la carte. Literally. Have to buy the potatoes and corn and everything separately. They forgot the booster seat for our 2 year old. Some of the food was cold, some of it was bland and some Lukewarm. Nothing but the rice came hot, and the wings were underdone so were the the tenders for the little one. Oh, and the sauce was thick like gravy with no taste of garlic or butter. When inquiring about the menu, the waiter said ” selling them a la carte is how we make our money, with the add ons not the combos”. Are you flipping serious?! And to add insult to injury, they charge an automatic 18% gratuity for the “all you can eat menu” but if we want to avoid the charge then to order from the normal menu and not from the all you can eat menu at all.
For the all you can eat you have to completely finish ALL the food before requesting the 2nd round and they won’t even take the order until plates are empty.
Horrible experience. And definitely a disappointment. It did smell good though.

Saw it on Instagram so decided to check it out. Didn’t know they also had and all you can eat option. We got that , which was way too much food, we didn’t even get through it. Had a big doggy bag.. next time I think I will just order a dish or twooo.

So this place is really good tbh. I think the biggest thing we appreciated was the service. There’s a service charge added on as part of the all-you-can-eat but then they actually do give you spectacular service, unlike other places. They’re just super thoughtful here. Each table has hand sanitizer, each round they bring you new gloves to eat your food. And at the end they bring a moist towelette. Our food was constantly brought out fast and fresh. We enjoyed everything though they do use a lot of garlic even in the lemon Cajun sauce. Their fried dishes, like the calamari, shrimp, and chicken wings were all exemplary. The fried rice was great too. I think the only weakness for the food was the crab and bun. The bun was amazing. The crab, not so much. Also, one time, a couple dishes came in as if the cook had recently smoked. They weirdly charge you for sides. Like, what?! Either way, the food comes in quick and it’s all delicious. Medium is like at 1/8th an jalapeno. The seafood itself is pretty fresh and the water is better than pure tap.

The sauce was a sweet and could use more spices/salt for the mild flavor. The shrimp was big and not over cooked so that was nice. The lobster and shrimp Mac & cheese was good but the lobster was over cooked. Overall, not bad! The wait was really long for take out!

Wow. I have no idea how a Cajun seafood shop that is so tasty and authentic shows up from nowhere. In the midst of Asian food craze in San Mateo, this is a fresh addition.
Be prepared to get your hands dirty. Dig into the seafood, peel, crack and chew. And there’ll be shells all over the table. And yes, you’ll be licking fingers. It’s that type of a place. Not for a date night. For a group or family to have a tasteful, stress-free dinner.
The “bowl” is literally a pile of seafood in Cajun spiced sauce. This sauce is the magic. Brings alive the seafood but also enriches the flavor. Dip bread and pasta into this mess and you have a symphony of flavors parading in your mouth. Seriously it is so good.
Make sure to get plenty of bread and pasta along. 1 bowl will make 4 adults happy.
The interior feels a bit empty and bland but when you have such good food, what does it matter.
Absolutely will return.

Quality of the food is great, the price for all you can eat is surprisingly cheap, service is pretty fast as well. The negative for me is that they add some thickening agent to the cajun sauce and it feels like I am eating soup, plus once it starts getting cold it starts losing the consistency and starts turning watery which is not really appealing. We love cajun food but this is the only place I’ve ever seen that adds thickening to their sauce, which to me it took away from the flavor but who knows maybe others enjoy it. One thing we didn’t understand is why not add potatoes, corn and sausage to the all you can eat menu since they are cheaper than the seafood and most people would ask for them, instead there is an additional charge if you want them, its not much but it just seems weird that they rather feed you seafood instead of cheap items. I Almost forgot, their chicken wings are also pretty good.
