It’s a smoked salmon (lox) sandwich. It was really good! I was kind of worried because it says its a NY classic (on the menu it said this), and Cairo is obviously very far from NYC, so I wasn’t sure how good it would be. But it was one of the best lox bagels I have had! I think since Cairo is so close to the ocean the fish is really good/fresh. I liked the grille in general, the decor was kind of weird though(there were a lot of grape vines/very tucson-y looking). The fries were soooo good, highly recommend the fries.

Nice cozy and quite restaurant . Salad bar was great, everything was fresh and presentable. Price is affordable and staff is courteous. Next time will try to order from their menu.

The food is excellent. I have never seen brussel sprouts on a buffet before and I sure would love to know how they made them. Everything on the buffet was piping hot or fresh and cold, as it should be. The restaurant is super clean and very enjoyable to visit. The service just doesn’t get any better. I’ll be back for sure.

After my last couple of visits very recently, I have to give this place one star now. From my understanding the ownership has changed twice in the past few months, and the service reflects that change. Waited 40 min for a deli sandwich with fries. Was told 35 min into the wait they were out of fries and had to cook more. So, no big deal. Don’t worry about the fries just bring me my sandwich. 5 min later had to stop our waitress again to ask when our sandwiches would come out? She went back and checked, sandwiches had not even been made yet and it would still be a while for the food to come out. Needless to say we got up and walked out with our waitress laughing at the situation, and offering no apology. Don’t think I’ll be returning anytime soon. Place was moderately busy that day. Nothing overwhelming. We would have chosen to eat off the buffet, but the two main entrees on the buffet were completely gone, and not replaced until about 30 min into our visit.
Buffet is not near as good as it use to be. So sad. This use to be one of, if not the top restaurant in Cairo. They were very consistent with their food and service. Not sure what has changed, but it’s very disappointing.

I’ve been traveling a lot and really wanted something like a home-cooked meal, this place definitely fit the bill. The waiter was attentive without being a bother and the food was great. I think the cost was about $10 plus a drink for each person but it was definitely worth it.

My friend William Thomas who stays in Cairo and I were hungry and wanted some food that would take us back home to moms kitchen. He suggested Cairo City Grill which is located in the downtown area of the beautiful city of Cairo, Ga. adjacent Cairo Police Department. As we approach the location, parking was a little tight, but when I entered the establishment the atmosphere was very welcoming. The aroma of different food made up for the parking. My taste buds went crazy. The employees greeted us and smiled. The magnificent setting of the restaurant was pleasant with decors displayed on the walls to the ceiling. As I walked passed the buffet and saw the fresh variety of food from baked/fried chicken, rice, macaroni and cheese, etc. It also had a dessert and salad section. I couldn’t wait to be seated. The waitress was neat and tidy. Sitting at a table which was very clean and had salt/pepper in the mid. I quick realized they cherish cleanliness, there wasn’t a piece of food on the floor and restroom up to par. The menu offered a variety of mouth watering dishes. I got some baked chicken rice and Mac and cheese three times. The food so fresh and seasoned perfectly. The price was worth every taste. The chef did his thing. Dessert was delicious. I even enjoyed the salad. I had a pleasant dining experience at this location and would return anytime. My stomach so full I laid down for the rest of the day. I highly recommend going to this location.

Great place, the food has passion as well as the staff. Great place to swing buy and have a friendly lunch or a business lunch. The servers are all very kind as well as the cooks and other staff. Good selection on drinks. In all a nice place to eat. On the downside it is a little more expensive but deffiantly worth the money if your looking for a good time and a good eat.

The menu is limited, but I accept it is a common snare for new, small restaurants to try to do too much too quickly. We had the lunch buffet. The roast could have used a little more seasoning, and the fried chicken could have used less salt. The turnip greens and macaroni and cheese were very good. I ordered the peanut butter mini dessert, and apparently no one had done that before. Its preparation was poor and betrayed its frozen origins. Looking forward to eating here again next time I am in town.

Arrived into Cairo for a funeral and did not want fast food for lunch. This location was highly recommend by the locals and I fully agree!! Great food, standard choices plus unique options on the buffet. Everything was Excellent!!
