As the one ( my Ex wife and son now 32). who started their whole baby making salad craze in 1993, I were excited to try it again after all these years coming back to LA for a visit. We ordered the barbecue chicken pizza and that was amazing just like I remembered but, “The Salad” needed a little help. It wasn’t horrible but I don’t think that the original owner Ed would have approved. There was a bit too much dressing and not enough Gorgonzola and anything else other than the greens.

Im 40 weeks + 5 pregnant and decided to come here to try THE salad! I’ll update on the progress but wanted to leave a good review since I was super surprised with the food and service! The inducing salad is good – a little harsh after a while but doable. Ordered the breakfast sandwich which was delicious and the service was so good! Paul was our server and he was so kind! Loved the vibe here and having my bay come on time will be such a bonus.

I had the bison meat pizza!! Grilled onions topped this cheesy and delicious master piece.
The flavor was perfect and they’re gonna tell you for the price. You really don’t find a lot of places like this, but I had to have a bowl of the lentil soup.
My companion enjoyed the iced coffee and it was delicious. The seating area is large and perfect for large parties or families and then out front. You can enjoy outdoor seating with a nice little fenced in area.
I was very impressed. I enjoyed the pizza tremendously. The meat was flavored and seasoned perfectly.
I absolutely love this pizza place. It has beautiful seating. The menus, incredible and ingredients are super fresh.!!
I ordered the pepperoni and sausage and had the pleasure of hanging out with the cashier and waiter. Who is really cool. We talked a lot about different things in our experiences but it didn’t even take me 10 minutes to get this delicious pizza. Now I have to save this for later .
But I can’t recommend this place enough it is so super pleasant and the one thing I absolutely love? The selections of soup! Stop in and try it.

I ordered an egg and cheese sandwich for takeout. It cost me $18. Cheap and dry sourdough bread with a tasteless omelette and the cheapest quality of cheddar. Why is this place pretending to be an Italian restaurant? NEVER AGAIN. Aroma Cafe next door is even better.

Delicious pizza in a nice cafe atmosphere. I recommend the barbecue chicken pizza, and their mozzarella cheese was wonderfully flavorful, maybe more than other places. Plenty of patio or indoor seating. Average customer service. Bathrooms available for customers. They have a the “The” salad which supposedly helps women get pregnant, and a blackboard inside with the signed names of women who did!

We really enjoyed the California caprese and pizza at Caioti. The caprese was one of the best we’ve ever had! We literally couldn’t stop eating it and it was a great portion. The dough was the star of the pizza. Pillowy soft with a crispy, snap to it. I often take or leave the crust edges but this was too good to leave behind. Service was polite though a bit slow. It was a pretty slow night but it took a while to get water refills, although food came quickly. Overall, definitely recommend!

Had to try out the Labor salad (39+2) because it was all they hype. Although a very tasty and satisfying salad with our grant balsamic dressing, no baby yet (39+4 and counting). They did give extra dressing, which was nice and I have a hunch that the balsamic is what puts ladies into labor… poured the dressing on some salad greens for the next 2 days.. still no baby.
The breaded chicken and bbq chicken pizza were very tasty. A bit on the pricey side, but nice big portions.

Amazing!!! Excellent flavor and you can tell they use high quality ingredients. Will definitely be back. We got the BBQ chicken pizza and sun dried tomato pizza. I asked for one without mozzarella and they were very willing to accommodate for the allergy.

We have probably heated of this place more than a year ago before my wife was even pregnant obviously. All of a sudden one day(she is due in a week or so) she says we need to visit this place. We made a little research and this was the cafe everybody were talking about for their world famous “The salad”…. That’s right, rumor goes that heavily pregnant that are over or close to their due date will eat this special salad and go in labor within 3 days or whatever.
So here we go with my “I’m done with this pregnancy” wife to get this salad. It is located in Studio on Tujunga. Parking is kind of difficult but we were able to find street parking within walking distance.
The place is very tiny but welcoming with “baby board” of all the names of new babies that were born. A journal with all ladies who were looking to jump start their labor. So we ordered the magic salad with extra dressing on the side(since that’s what makes magic happen). It was a mixture of lettuce, walnuts, watercress and maybe something else with a very strong balsamic dressing. My wife loves balsamic dressing so she devoured it and loved it, we had some leftover to take home too. I had Greek salad which was fantastic, better than some authentic Greek places.
Their pizza smelled amazing and they had good menu, which we thought to try some other time because today we were on a mission.
Staff was extremely friendly and welcoming and they knew exactly why we were there haha!
Unfortunately the salad did’t work, I guess our little guy just wants to stay longer which is fine with us but we truly enjoyed the experience and their food. Will definitely be back to try their pizza and other things.
