Caffettería is the newest restaurant concept from The Mixx restaurant founder Jo Marie Scaglia. I feel like I’m missing something with all the glowing reviews — no doubt it’s a delightful space with a large menu of healthy-ish options, but both times I’ve visited have been underwhelming to the point of disappointment. Today I ordered the sweet potato hash (I asked for recommendations at the counter but the employee hadn’t tried much and mostly described things as “popular”), and received the saddest plate of Jenny Craig steamed vegetables: big chunks of soft sweet potato, crunchy cauliflower, large strips of red peppers & onions. My husband’s meal was similarly mediocre. I get the convenience, but I don’t understand the price or appeal others describe. Not sure if I’ll give it another shot, but would love to be proven wrong.

Fun atmosphere. Good food. Liked the options. Staff seemed fairly new and were very nice. Ordered a baguette which seem pre frozen or at least refrigerated, which was odd. Will definitely go back and keep trying different things on menu.

We had an amazing private experience at Caffetteria. For our daughter’s college graduation, we had a family celebration for 15 in the private “Color Room” which is a lovely, bright and cheery room. I worked with Taylor on the menu and the food was fantastic! Everything was fresh, colorful, flavorful and delicious. Terrence took amazing care of us and made sure the night was celebratory and delicious. I highly recommend Caffetteria for the great food, staff, customer service and all around great experience. Thank you to the team who took such great care of us.

What a great find. We were headed somewhere else and ended up here. I’m so glad we did. Owner/manager very engaged and hands on. Food was a bit pricey; however once it came out the portions support what we paid. The hummus appetizer was full of fresh veggies and crackers. I had the turkey sandwich and asked to change the bread-no issue. The homemade chips were a real treat. Hubby had the steak with chimichurri sauce and brussel sprouts. Again delicious. Can’t wait to go back and try the baked items. We thoroughly enjoyed the vibe, the food and the service. They also have a few gift items if you’re looking for something different.

A group of my friends and I came and ate here and it was SO good A friend and I shared the pizza with mushrooms on it (can’t remember the name of it) and it was amazing, especially for not having any meat it was so good. You can tell they make their pizzas fresh and homemade and probably in a brick oven I think because the taste is very distinct and authentic. Also had a salad (again can’t remember the name) but based off the picture you can tell it was really good. It had feta cheese, avocado, corn, tortilla strips, and it was very fresh and healthy. They have lots of other cool stuff here too including some amazing looking desserts which I’ll have to try next time if I come again. Would definitely come back here again if I’m ever back in Prairie Village!

This beautiful eatery is worthy of all the hype. The food is delicious and the atmosphere is one of a kind! Although most people might consider it a lunch spot I’ve been multiple times for dinner and it’s been delightful and affordable. Huge selection of pizzas, salads, sandwiches and bakery items. The stubborn soda machine is so good, don’t skip it!

Two stars for the kind service but the food was only marginal. I had the Le Parisien pizza, omg so much cheese I couldn’t taste anything else, 14.00 dollars… I was disappointed… my partner, he ordered the chicken salad sandwich. While the chicken salad had decent flavor, the bread was really thick and dry. 12.00 for the sandwich.
