I did not expect walking into a gelato shop and having such an amazing experience. They had sandwiches so we decided to grab some before having gelato. We got the mafioso and calabrese sandwiches. The staff were nice enough to let us try a variety of their gelato, all super tasty. I’ll definitely be going back to try more of their sandwiches and gelato.

Stopped by on a Saturday afternoon for a little gelato and Italian sandwich pick me up. Both were delicious. I had the cookies and cream gelato which was perfectly sweet and ultra creamy. The sandwich was really the star of the show though. Delicious and crispy Dutch crunch paired with creamy mozzarella, sharp flavors from the cold cuts and peoperoncinis, and freshness from the veg. Flavor bomb. My new favorite sandwich spot in the area!
Mike who was slinging the subs was also super friendly and great to talk to. This place is legit!

Opinion Worth a Thought
It’s a shame this little gem is located at the edge of the food district next to Stanford. There’s a great variety of gelato flavors. Not sure about their sandwich/food offering because we went for their gelato. Gelato is full of flavor and they give a generous portion. The staff was very friendly and patient waiting for us to make our decision. Will definitely visit again when we’re in the area

This is the first place I have found an excellent Ube Purple Yam and Black Sesame Gelato. All their other flavors are delicious but these two flavors really stood out because it’s not easy to find a place that even has these flavors let alone gets them right. The gelato is very thick and rich in flavor as well. I will be definitely be coming back for more.

Caffe Stellato’s gelato is excellent — creamy and smooth with ample mix-ins. I got the pistachio gelato and it was beyond good. There were huge, whole pistachios, and the ice cream itself tasted like real, natural pistachios. My dad got the coconut almond joy flavor, which also had pieces of almonds, chocolate, and coconut. If you’re looking for ice cream/gelato in this area, Caffe Stellato is the place!
