Best Coffee Spot in East Rutherford – Caffè Roma ☕️
I discovered this place when they opened about 4-5 years ago, and I’m so glad I did! Mike, the owner, has become a good friend over the years. He really knows his coffee and it shows – this is genuinely the best coffee I’ve found in the area. Our whole family loves coming here. The atmosphere is so nice with the Colosseum mural and all the lights on the ceiling. Right now it looks extra beautiful with all the Christmas decorations. The coffee is just perfect, and you have to try their pastries. The apricot croissants are something special. We love the comfy setup with the brick walls and nice seating – makes it perfect for a quick coffee or staying a while.
You can find them on Park Ave, and I promise it’s worth the visit. It’s become our regular spot for good reason!

Aside from the phenomenal cappuccino, Cafè Roma is hands down the most special cafè around. Between the owner, Mike’s incredible disposition and exquisite taste- mom and pop shops, like this one, are rare to come by. I almost didn’t want to post a review to keep it exclusive but it is too good to keep a secret. Its more than a cafè. This establishment’s authenticity and warmth is unmatched. One comes here and feels like family. Yes, the apricot croissant (all pastries) is delicious and espresso gives you the perfect pep in your step for the day but the real reason, YOU keep coming back to Cafè Roma is for far more than the items on the menu. Come experience for yourself and you’ll be hooked!

I’m originally from this area, but I’m visiting from Florida and discovered this Italian cafe today! I went in for a latte and got a cannoli for breakfast.
The gentleman behind the counter was very courteous, making an outstanding latte! The atmosphere is very cozy, and I felt very comfortable while I enjoyed my breakfast.
If you really enjoy coffee, this is the place to go! I’ll be back over and over when I am here!

Everything here speaks of Italy starting from the scent of coffee, to homemade arancini, to Sicilian cannoli, to finish with the customers who frequent it. A corner of Italy where we meet to chat and savor the wonderful homemade specialties. This was our first time being at this caffe. We went specifically because of the reviews. I am an Italian American and was looking for the atmosphere and banter. The espresso drinks were phenomenal. Top notch. The owner was extremely nice. The only cons if I had to say were that the cannolis were prefilled so didn’t taste fresh (they were soft). Also, the vibe was not as authentic as other reviewers suggested. It was very loud in there because the music was at a level where we could not hear each other from across a very small table. I honestly was expecting to hear some Dean Martin or some Italian classics…instead there was Eddy Grant, Enrique Iglesias and reggae and electronic rock music. After taking so long to find a parking spot I just wanted to have that little Italian cafe moment. But again, great espresso and customer service!

Best tasting cannolis I have ever had. Staff was polite and attentive. Service was prompt and quick. I am very happy with these cannolis and will definitely be buying more of them soon!
