Caffé Molise is the perfect pre-theatre, opera, symphony, concert, or sporting event dining location. We are conveniently located downtown in the beautifully restored historic Eagles Building at 404 S West Temple, 2 blocks South of the Salt Palace Convention Center. We are a liquor licensee and offer wine, beer, and cocktails.

Great atmosphere and service! We love the butternut squash ravioli it’s so good. We had dinner outside on the covered patio in late August which was really pleasant. Definitely recommend for a good sit down Italian restaurant. Servers are so kind! It’s best to make a reservation beforehand and be sure to hear about their daily specials. There is some free street parking nearby towards the little america hotel. Enjoy!

I really enjoyed the food here. The location is interesting, appearing to be a former stately home. Everyone who served us was lovely as well. Of course, most importantly, the food was delicious as well. We tried many pasta dishes, and each of them was very flavorful and rich. The gnocchi was a particular favorite. Then, we had to try dessert. I was a big fan of the chocolate hazelnut mousse cake, but the sorbetto was surprisingly good as well. It was extremely refreshing and just the right amount of sweetness. The only, very minor, complaint that I have is that extra rolls cost $1.25 each. I feel like bread should be given freely at a place like this! Otherwise, no complaints!

I say you give them a try ( call ahead first ) but if you do, you run the risk of not having Scott.

General: We came in on a Saturday evening. The building was very cool, inside and out. We were seated in the main dining room on the main level and liked it a lot. There was a great mix of people. The staff was courteous, fast, and knew the menu–not too snooty. Excellent, warm rolls with soft centers and chewy crust were brought to the table, served with wrapped, cold butter pats, olive oil and an amazing balsamic vinegar that was as sweet as apple cider. The house salad was plain but fresh and large. The same for the Caesar salad upgrade, although the croutons might be a little spicy for some. Entree portions are not large. Prices were reasonable.

Wow!!! Let me tell you if your a local here I’m jealous this restaurant was really worth the money the food was phenomenal!! Staff was really nice and helpful to the menu as well. Sadly they didn’t do anything special for our honeymoon, but no worries! Still recommend coming.

We went for lunch and enjoyed the Pollo Alla Gratella, Sausage Polenta, Mushroom Polenta, and Lasagna. Everyone loved their dishes and our table service was great – very friendly server, orders were taken in a timely manner, food was prepared quickly and prompt drink refills. The building and decor made for a great atmosphere. We saw they have a fantastic patio that we’d love to come back for outdoor dining in the summer. There was a large office gathering that made for a very loud experience, but the energy was fun. Our server was fantastic; the manager seemed worried, stressed and distracted, and was rushing around a lot. Perhaps she’s a little micro-managery (she came to our table twice about our cheque even though our server had already gone to get it and the 2nd time had already picked it up), that was the only thing that made for a less than ideal experience – if she hadn’t shown something was wrong, we would never have known (we still don’t, only that something was wrong by her behavior). Note that the bar is not open for lunch, so you cannot order a drink while you wait for a table if you go at lunchtime (but you can once you’re seated). We had about a 10 minute wait for a table at about 230 on a weekday for lunch, which was not bad at all.

My family and I have gone here a few times now. I love the atmosphere and decor! My food is always beyond amazing! I had the special last night, I do not remember what it was called, but it was so so delicious, I ate every single last bite on the plate! My husband said the lasagna was only “okay”, he said it needed more flavor. But with all that said, we’ll definitely continue to come back.
