When you’re Italian and cook all the time, it’s tough to crave someone else’s food. But Cafe Italian is the exception!Their dishes are always amazing, the atmosphere’s great, and the service is top-notch. Whether you’re sticking to the menu or trying the nightly specials, you can’t go wrong. The food is just amazing Trust me, I’d give it a solid 10 – love this place!”

I ordered meatballs. They were so dry I almost choked. Had half a meatball. Then bees were all over them. I was still charged for the meatballs even tho I had half a one. Lol money isn’t an issue but the point is I didnt like it nor did I eat it. Apparently people in Marblehead enjoy eating bugs because the waitress kept asking if I wanted the nasty bee covered meatballs wrapped up.

Honestly, the fries were the worst. I adore rosemary and there was literally black crumbs on the fries I thought was black pepper. I said where is the rosemary he said “that black stuff is rosemary”. Nooooo.

Don’t waste your money here. You’ll be disappointed greatly.

Came here for the first time tonight. I really enjoyed my meal, as did my friend. We shared the prosciutto and burrata appetizer, seared scallops with butternut squash risotto (a special), and the pork chop Milanese. We were super impressed with the risotto and scallops. Scallops were cooked perfectly, very flavorful and the risotto was buttery, cheesy and only a little bit sweet. Loved the other dishes too. I rarely drink with dinner, but ordered a lemon drop martini when I saw one being delivered to another table. I’m glad I did – it was the perfect balance of sweet and sour.

Will definitely come back and recommend to others.

One of our favorites. Staff is attentive and always very friendly and welcoming. The food and drink never disappoint. Must tries…Joel rolls, arugula beet salad and chicken parm. Oh, and don’t forget an espresso martini. Great menu and drink selection. Other must tries are the eggplant rollatini, chix or veal saltimbocca and haddock francaise. I wish there was a way to give them 6 stars…this place deserves it!

First time to the new location. Nice inside but if you sit inside the door at the bar, the cold air can hit you from behind since the door is close to the bar. Service was very good. Attentive servers and other bar staff. I was poured an excellent gin martini in a very generous martini glass. Cost was $16, but a good pour. Rolls were offered however there was no dipping in garlic, Parmesan, olive oil or similar. No butter or anything to go with them so they just sat there. Ordered a drink and an entrée and my wife the same. The food came in a very reasonable time. I had the Chicken Parmesan. It was good, not excellent. The marinara sauce was lacking taste. Many might say the marinara has a simple, traditional taste but, I thought it needed a bit more basil or something to give it taste. It is nice inside but with views of the parking lot and cars going by, prices a just slightly on the high side. Two people, two drinks was $100 with tip. The previous location was excellent, with large windows that opened to the street. I am not planning to rush back, but the service was the high point.

I ate here on New Years Eve! Being a holiday I expected everything to be hectic. It was the exact opposite! Stellar food, great drinks, and an all around nice atmosphere.
I cannot say enough about our spectacular server, Tony! He had food and drink recommendations, was attentive, and very helpful. I hope to have him as my server again in the future!

Thanks Caffe Italia and Tony!!

Had spaghetti and meatballs and they were the worse meatballs ever.
They were so dry and could hardly cut them with a steak knife??
My wife’s chicken parmigiana was okay.
We find this restaurant to be very inconsistent with their food and would not go back.
The cafe Italia in Wakefield is much better and more professional.

Had the Haddock Francaise which was delicious but portion small and side was 3 wedges of potatoes, 3! Cheap or poor menu planning? Overpriced for the amount served. Also agree every time they opened the door a burst of cold air hit the table. I would try again but not in cold weather and unless they increase the portions, that would be the last time. Drinks were good, not watered down.

I ordered the special- veal and artichokes- the artichoke were hard as a rock- had trouble trying to cut them with a knife and the flavor was rather unexciting/bland. I have been going to this restaurant for years and never had a bad meal but wondering what is going on. Did I hear they have a new chef? The waitress said she was sorry but after one drink she gave us the check before asking if we wanted anything else? So disappointed
