I think the food is mostly good, but I’ve had hiccups every time I’ve ordered from here. One of the biggest problems is they always seem understaffed. I order ahead every time so I can pick up the food on my way home from work. It has never been ready at the time I scheduled it for, so I learned to order it for 15 minutes ahead. It’s also always so hard to get someone’s attention to tell them I’m there to get a pickup order. They walk right past without so much as glancing at you. Like last night I waited an extra 10 minutes after I arrived to be acknowledged before I told them I was there for my order (which was ready). And the guy at the register was also packing orders and seemed busy/frazzled making the process inefficient. They really should have a pick up shelf so you can pick up your order yourself. Also, they called these Chocolate covered strawberries?

Friendly staff but low staffed maybe? Super messy lobby, constantly find myself cleaning my own booth up before eating and getting to go container/utensilis because there is no one who can spare 30 minutes when it slows down to tidy up the lobby. Portioning here is insane, they grab it with their hands? there is a spoon there for a reason! As a former employee I remember how important portioning was at my time there and if the spoon isn’t used to portion anymore why is there one in each container? I’ve attached a picture of my bowl after it goes through the hands of salad maker that portions with their fingers! I would like a full scoop and a neater bowl, this is every night I go, very upsetting to feel and disgusting to look at. I go to this one because it’s the closest one to my home, managers please have a chat with nights- a loyal customer

I went to the location on McDowell in Avondale. It was a terrible experience. I wanted soup and they served it cold and in a dirty bowl. Took it back up to the counter and asked for someone to give me hot soup in a clean bowl. Secondly, the drink station looked as if it had not been cleaned for a week. Third, having to step over soo much food just to go sit at a table. Forth, all tables were dirty, so I went to the counter and asked for clean towels and sanitized water. You would think that would give them the biggest hint that the dining room needs to be picked up, but nope! I WAS GIVEN THOSE ITEMS AND THE WORKER WALKED AWAY!!!!!!!!!!!! Fifth…Just for curiosity sake and to just complete the disappointment, went to the restroom, need I say anything more? Left with a refund and will NEVER come back!! Oh, wait let’s not forget the fruit flys that we’re in abundance. That signals to me that the fruit they are serving up, have NOT been cleaned properly. Fruit flies lay their eggs on fruit and you need to wash the strawberries in a vinegar bath to kill the eggs as well as any invisible small worms that may nest. THIS PLACE IS A HEALTH HAZARD!!! DO NOT PATRONIZE THIS RESTAURANT UNTIL THEY GET THEIR ACT TOGETHER!!!. This is a good idea for a restaurant but it is very poorly executed.

I saw a very very busy night combined with a short staff… none the less they are trained very well, didn’t crack under pressure. No issues with orders being taken, along with a few large to go and dine in orders. Total wait time was 45mins for my dine in order. Tables were all still clean. Great job, and the food was fantastic as usual. 5 star reward!

Great food and fast service! I enjoyed the Veggie Crunch sandwich and the vegetarian version of the Mediterranean Protein bowl – both were delicious!

Just had delivery and ordered a large soup and this is what I got! Can’t even fill it up! Going to edit this review, I called and the person was so rude, I told her my soup was only halfway filled up and she was like, is that so. Doesn’t apologize or anything, customer service these days are so terrible! And then I got to my salad and the apples were all brown! This is literally the worst experience.

Café Zupas is one of my favorite restaurants, and I really enjoy their food—it’s always fresh and tastes great. However, during my most recent visit, the cleanliness was a serious issue. The dining area was dirty, tables were not cleaned, dirty dishes were left out, trash cans were full, and there were even small flies flying around the food. At this point, I’m starting to think twice about coming back. It’s disappointing because this place has so much potential. I truly hope cleanliness improves.

2nd time here two days in a roll because it was so good. Very friendly employees, very good salad, soup, sandwich and chocolate covered strawberry included. I had to try the Creme Brûlée Cheesecake and it was delicious, just as good or maybe better than any other higher end restaurant, but with a better price! $4.89 to be exact compared to $6+ at most places.

Really delicious quaint food. Highly recommend the soups and grilled cheese sandwiches. Also fyi most orders already come with a chocolate dipped strawberry and bread roll which helps round out whatever you plan on ordering
