The sandwich was absolutely amazing! I had the Chicken Tandoori sandwich, juicy, succulent, and bursting with incredible flavor. Honestly one of the best sandwiches I’ve ever had. The café itself has such a warm, inviting vibe, cozy atmosphere, friendly staff, and everything feels freshly made with care. You can tell they put real passion into their food. Definitely a hidden gem!

Dropping our son to college. Somehow saw Yelps Top 100 sandwich places in the USA. Just a short drive from Virginia Tech in Salem. Located in beside a gas station.
Going in we asked the locals what to get- everything. That didn’t help with great selection of sandwiches and wraps.
The place has some hand carvings on the wall- Nepalese. The owner is very pleasant and helpful. We chatted a bit after we got our sandwiches to go.
We got three sandwiches- the Brooklyn, the Manhattan, and Chicken tandoori. All sandwiches were amazing. But the chicken tandoori stood out the most- amazing flavors!!! Highly recommend it. We also got some fries.
They also sell cookies and some Punjabi snacks.
Definitely will hit this place again when we come visit.

Some of the best sandwiches in the area! The couple that runs the business is super nice and the food is always very consistent and flavorful. Give the tandoori chicken sandwich or burgers a try!

Some guys at work were talking this place up for weeks but how good can a sandwich really be? I finally went and I was blown away, Hands down the best sandwich I’ve ever had in my life! It’s a very welcoming little place, the employees couldn’t be nicer! They have so many options, I went with the Apperson and it was incredible!

Absolutely some of the best sandwiches and hand breaded potato wedges we’ve had anywhere. Tried the Sweet Country Chicken sandwich and Veggie Wrap and both were amazing. Don’t let the unassuming exterior deter you – super friendly staff, excellent service and five star quality food. Will definitely be back!

One of my personal favorite stops while on a 3 day road trip! We got the meatball sub and also the tandoori chicken sub (we asked to get this spicy and loved getting the fresh cut up chilies!). They cut each sub in half and we shared by trading a piece. I will definitely make the effort to go back if I’m ever in the area again, don’t miss out! The family that owns this is super nice and the food was delicious. Not sure what else to say except that I wish they were getting even more exposure (I don’t think I ever straight up rave about a place either, but I had such a great meal there haha). They had amazing sounding specials too but we were just too full to get extras, but I do wish I got another sandwich to go!

We took a detour on our road trip because this place had good reviews. It was amazing! I had the Blue Ridge sandwich and my husband had a Tandoori chicken wrap. The food was delicious. We wish we lived nearby. This place is a gem.

Anyway, the food was amazing. Pictured are the Tandoori Chicken Sub, the Turkey Sandwich with chutney, and the California Chicken Salad.
Tandoori Chicken was so unlike any sandwich I’d had before and really fantastic. If you can only get one sandwich, this is my recommendation.
However, the more you get, the happier you’ll be. We got 3 (for 2 people) and not only did we have way more food than we could eat in one sitting (leftovers for the road trip!) we only spent ~$20.
Bottom line, go here if you get the chance.

I am 9 months pregnant and every bit of picky right now… Seriously this is BEST chicken melt I’ve ever had! Wish I knew I lived around the corner from this place sooner! I’m also super excited about their options for desserts!
