An avenue to channel our passion for health and our love for delicious and nutritious food. We strive to source locally grown organic vegetables and combine them with India’s finest flavors and spices. A gluten free menu, mostly vegan options, and a few for the seafood lover’s.

Great place to try authentic Indian food! I ordered the coconut shrimp curry, and it was really delicious, nicely spiced and full of flavor. I got it medium, and honestly, it was still pretty spicy. I usually eat and enjoy spicy food, but this had some serious heat, so I probably wouldn’t recommend going “hot” unless you’re very confident.
The service and atmosphere were both on point. Even though it was busy, our order came out pretty quickly, which was impresive.

We had a great experience at Cafe Turmeric! The channa palak and coconut veg curry were flavorful and authentic, and our kids loved the dal with rice. The staff was very friendly and welcoming. Just note that they accept only cash or Venmo. Would definitely visit again!

Kauai is basically food trucks everywhere, so we had to try at least one Indian spot.
We stopped at Healthy Taste of India on Saturday around 5:40pm. I ordered the Chicken Tikka Masala and an organic lemonade. Total was $29 which honestly felt a little steep for a food truck… but that’s Kauai.
Good news: the food was actually really good.
The tikka masala had that creamy, warm spice thing going on (not watery at all), and the chicken was soft and cooked right, not dry. I kept scooping extra sauce into the rice and yeah… I was quiet for like 5 minutes just eating. That’s always a good sign.
The lemonade was also solid — light, refreshing, not crazy sweet. Perfect after being out all day.
Only small downside: if you plan to eat there, take it to-go instead. We tried eating it “inside” and the plate setup was kinda awkward. Not a big deal, just annoying when you’re trying to eat curry without making a mess.
Would I come back? Yeah.
If you want something different from the usual Kauai plates, this one’s worth it.

Excellent food. This time around I tried their coconut curry and it was amazing mild hint of coconut and not extremely overpowering coconut curry. Lot of Indian restaurants in India do not know how to prepare really nice coconut curry but this place knows the real recipe. I came to this cafe few years ago when they just started the truck and I am happy to see that this place is still open unlike my lot of favorite restaurants in Hawaii. If you visit north shore of the island, this place is a must try.

We had dal and chicken Tikka masala. Their naan is also well cooked with butter. Good quantity, very good taste. I was craving for Indian food in Hawaii and then I found this. The dal chawal was so goood. My husband also liked the chicken tikka masala and naan. Definitely worth try.

Hands down the best authentic Indian food I’ve had in Kauai ! Every dish was bursting with fresh flavors and the perfect amount of spice. I highly recommend the Coconut Veg Curry and the Dal, but the Avocado Naan was the absolute star of the show. 10/10 would recommend!
