I must say I heard a lot about this place it was my first time so I tried to orders the oxtails and grits was delicious I didn’t care too much for my fried Lamb Chop meal turn the lamps off is too salty the macaroni and cheese is too salty in the AMC selected Porsche bunch of sugar over it but I’ll try something else what’s the next time and let you know. It’s located on the ground floor of apartment building high-rise there’s a school right next door to it this is one of the better parts of Trenton New Jersey very safe location very safe area just footsteps away from the capitol easy access from on and off the highway just seconds from the Morrisville Bridge and I’m quite sure they food have better days a lot of people say a lot of good things about this place you can dine and if you like or you can take out but it’s a nice place to enjoy a good meal

It had been over four years since I last ordered from here. Recently, I ordered three different meals, and unfortunately all of them were overwhelmingly salty. No one was able to enjoy or finish their food because the salt level was just too much. If the salt is reduced, I’d definitely consider ordering again.

Wow! I heard great things, saw great pictures, and decided to make my first time trying the food a large catering order for 20 people. Everyone in my group was very happy with their meal! Flavors were there in every single item I ordered. Great pricing! Great service, as they helped me figure out quantities and pickup. I’m going back weekly. Food was devoured before I could get pictures.

Cafe Toast is a winner! I had the oxtail and grits and my father had the blackened salmon dinner with mac and cheese and sautéed cabbage and it was delicious! I saw people who were getting their food before us smile as they were shown their order and I did the same when I got mine. Food joy lol . The young lady at the counter was kind over the phone and in person. I will definitely be back! Five stars

They are the best Chris the chef, oh he puts his foot in it!!! Anna who takes care of everybody with customer service at the front she is so delightful always in a good mood and I really appreciate that everything is delicious!!!! I haven’t had a bad me yet!!! I think I’ve eaten almost everything!

The food is good I had a lot but my favorite that I tried was the cabbage, collard greens, and the turkey wings. Everything was seasoned properly. Nothing else needed to be added. The crab cakes however could have used less grease. It would have been much better if he used butter instead for the flavor. Other than that, the crab cakes were good. The jerk shrimp that I had were excellent, from the flavor to the size of the shrimp it was good. The salmon was good but the sauce should have been homemade. The jerk sauce that he used is store bought which changes the flavor of the salmon itself. You get friendly, good service from the young lady at the counter taking the orders. The restaurant is very clean and the atmosphere is okay. I wanted to try a dessert but I didn’t have any room lol! So overall I will give the food, the service and the restaurant overall a 7.5.
