Amazing food, atmosphere, service, and super affordable prices. I always love everything I order. Would highly recommend the chilaquiles, sopes, tamales, and any of the agua frescas, but seriously everything on the menu is amazing. The service is always great and it’s so cozy, it feels like having a home-cooked meal at your grandmas house. I’ve lived in the area for years and it’s such a hidden gem.

This is a small place that feels like you’re eating at your Abuelita’s place. With authentic Mexican food and drinks. They make the cafe de olla in the clay pot. They even tweaked a meal for me to be the way I like it. I have been a few times and haven’t been disappointed. Give them a try.

This place was so delicious! I got the pozole rojo, add some toppings, their red salsa, and tostadas and sooo good!! My husband got tacos and finished them before I could even get started with my food! The owners were so sweet and attentive. Their agua de Jamaica and pina was DELICIOUS! Will most definitely be coming back!

Cafe Tizon is one of those hole-on-the-wall places where the food is so delish and the service so “amable” that you almost don’t want to advertise it because you don’t want to see ruined for you because of too many customers. Selfish but honest. They’re awesome!

The coffee I enjoyed. The chicken tamal not so much. I ordered two. The tamales were cold and not to die for honestly. Both tamales were brown, the chicken was brown like it was past due. This isn’t a place I would go to eat tamales.

Ordered a large menudo which taste real good and clean. The tamales were also a good size and real good for $2.50 each. My only complaint is the tamales were $30 a dozen which seems quite high especially when you can go up the street to Maria’s Tamales and get some that are just as good for $22 a dozen.

Cafe Tizon was our choice for our office Christmas party fare this year. Their pork, chicken and cheese tamales were VERY good and we know good tamales. Very nice staff gave us chili to go with the tamales – it was delicious!!!!
