I really wanted to support a local bakery for a birthday gathering in Traverse City. I confirmed my cake and cookie order in person, over the phone, and by text. The owner even sent a reminder on Tuesday that pickup was Thursday at 9 AM.
When I arrived, the bakery was locked. I texted and called multiple times with no response between 9-9:30am. Hours later—around 2:30 PM—I finally got a voicemail saying she experienced personal issues and thought pickup was Friday. By then, I’d already had to leave town and ended up buying cookies and a cake elsewhere.
I understand that life happens, but communication is key. Being completely ghosted on pickup day was unprofessional and disappointing.
She later said she would make it up to me with a cake and cookies on the house. I told her the occasion was a baseball moms’ weekend, and the theme of the cake should be girls’ weekend, baseball, fall-themed fun. The cookies were cute and delicious. The cake was a different story-see picture.

Cafe sweets made our son and Daughter in Law’s wedding cake for this past Saturday. She used a picture and created this stunning cake. It was everything the Bride and Groom wanted. Right down to the berry filling that was magnificent. We received so many compliments. “That cake is beautiful!” “This berry filling is delightful!” “This is the creamiest frosting I’ve ever had!” It truly was one of the best weeding cakes we have ever eaten. Thank you so much Cafe Sweets for making a wedding dream come true. We will be back again and again!

This was my first time trying Cafe Sweets and I loved that I did! All of the workers were very nice. I talked to them about my daughter’s birthday party to try and come up with a game plan/ideas for cakes and cookies. Once I sent over what I wanted, they did awesome recreating it! Communication was efficient when it came time to picking the details and pick up time. Everyone at the party loved the cakes & cookies. Not only was it CUTE, everything was YUMMY! Had to call this place the day before my kids birthday because I forgot to get the Bluey cake. No local big stores that I was told would do it were able so I called them because of reviews and location. Not only were they able to make a half sheet cake with like a 12ish hr notice but they did a phenomenal job. Everyone loved the icing and cake. The cake wasn’t dry at all and the buttercream frosting was the light frosting and a perfect sweet that wasn’t overwhelming. If your looking for a custom cake definitely give them a shot. Also, when I picked up the cake the inside is very nicely decorated and they even got a little stand with cool 3d printed items for sale. Will definitely use this place again in the future.

This is the second year that we have gotten my son’s birthday cake from Cafe Sweets. Both cakes were amazing! This year we wanted a theme from the show The Good Place. It was a very unusual cake that we wanted, to say the least, but they came through exceptionally! Not only did the cake look amazing, but it was delicious as well! I highly recommend Cafe Sweets for your bakery needs!

Cafe Sweets has been making cakes and treats for our family for years. From my daughter’s 1st birthday cake to her most recent 9th birthday cake. Every time I get treats from Bridgette everyone comments on the delicious frosting and cake flavors. Shes so easy to work with, wonderful prices and her new bakery is super cute and smells incredible every time you walk in. I’m so glad I found Cafe Sweets and so happy to always recommend her to everyone asking about cakes.

Cafe Sweets made cupcakes and cake pops for my daughter’s graduation party. They did an amazing job! The cake pops were huge and the cupcakes were beautifully decorated. Everything was wonderful and fresh. We received many compliments on them! I highly recommend them!!
