Cafe Sunflower has become my go to place for a scone and a matcha green tea. They are dairy free, so I don’t need to worry about milk products in anything. The staff is friendly and I love lingering for a bit to talk. Recently, they have included some pre-packaged salad, sandwiches and entrees made by a new culinary group (also Sunflower Bakery program). Great food, great mission, great people. Worth the trip every time!

This place is perfect for anyone with lactose intolerance! Everything is completely dairy-free, which makes dining here stress-free. The staff is wonderful—friendly and welcoming. I also noticed the manager, Joe, who is especially pleasant and treats his team with kindness. Highly recommend!

Thank you so much for making the best allergy friendly cakes! My son has a nut and sesame allergy. He loves chocolate but many times he can’t eat it due to possible cross contamination. I am new to Rockville and recently visited Sunflower for the first time after finding them through a Google search. I was looking for a Kosher bakery to buy something to bring to as a gift to a Kosher home.
in addition to enjoying the best and most unique Hamantashen I have ever had, I was so impressed by the staff of young people. This was a truly “feel good” experience.

This coffee shop is a diamond in the rough, difficult to find from the road but well worth it! Staff are friendly and helpful. They gave me a love of Chai Latte that I will never forget. Also pastries. Mmmm pastries.
