Cafe South gave me Bob Evans vibes, but with a Southern twist. It’s right off I-77, super clean, and the staff is really nice. We got seated for breakfast right away, no waiting at all. We ordered omelets, eggs, grits, and Southern ham. The omelets were kinda flat, and the toast was a little dry. The ham was good, but honestly, nothing blew us away. Next time we’re in Charlotte, we’re gonna check out other breakfast places.

Cute little country type cafe/ restaurant. The food was average with no added flair. I was hoping for an amazing pancake but it was a little too hard for me. The server was great though. It was very close to the hotel where we stayed. Convenient location.

Parking, there was tons of parking, so parking is not an issue.
It was busy when we went, so there was a wait list, we waited about 15 mins before we were seated.
Food was good, service was good, waiter knew the menu and made some good recommendation.
Menu has tons and tons of options, which can be overwhelming. There was brunch and lunch. We will be back!

First time eating at Cafe South for breakfast. The restaurant has a huge seating area so you can sit with friends or family to enjoy some good fresh cooked meals. There are also seats by a counter to which you can order food and watch it being cooked, right in front of you. I had the country breakfast. I had two over easy eggs, livermush with one biscuit and gravy. The livermush was cooked perfectly, and there was plenty of gravy on the biscuit. Everything was absolutely delicious !

Excellent restaurant that opens early in the morning. This restaurant provides excellent breakfast options. The eggs are excellent. They have varieties on how they did the eggs.
The biscuits are good and the hash browns are good.
The service is excellent, the waitress is very nice and quick. The place is clean and the seatings are comfortable. The place has an excellent atmosphere for eating out together.

This place doesn’t take reservations and requires everyone in your party before they sit you down. We were seated within 20 minutes of everyone in our party of 9 showed up. Visited over the weekend and This place gets busy real quick. Our server Oscar was friendly and patient. Food was very delicious and their mimosa was real strong which is a plus point. Overall service and food was great. Will plan on coming back soon. Overall 4/5 ⭐️

Our waitress was great. She did a great job of making suggestions and also brought me a sample of the chicken salad, which was really good. People make it so different so I always like to try it if I can before I order it. However, I decided to try the fried chicken with fried okra and fried squash. The chicken was great. The okra and squash were really good as well. I’m used to thin fried squash with not much breading. This was much thicker with more breading than I’m used to but was still good and not greasy which I was worried about when she brought it out. You get a choice of biscuit or cornbread and I went with the cornbread. It was a good choice. Good flavor and very moist. I would recommend both the fried chicken and chicken salad. They also had some good looking desert slices but I was too full to try them. Go check them out. The food was great and everyone was so nice and friendly.
