Cafe Smok N Pi is a family friendly, full service Smokehouse & Pizza restaurant focusing on great tasting BBQ. On November 1, 2019, the owners of Cafe Telegraph in Lemay purchased the former Off the Hook seafood restaurant on Hwy 21 in De Soto, MO. After a quick renovation, Cafe Smok N Pi opened on February 24, 2020 as a counter service restaurant with limited bar service. Cafe Smok N Pi became a full service restaurant in the summer of 2022 when a full service bar was added along with outdoor seating on the patio. Best known for the Pork Steak and other Smokehouse Meats, the menu also includes Pizza, Wings, Sandwiches and Burgers.

This is a great place to eat. I sat at the bar and I got great service. I arrived at a shift change, the service did not suffer. The meat was good and the French fries were good as well. I liked the crispy batter they were fried in. I will go again.

We stopped here on our way home from camping & the food was Amazing! First thing we noticed was that our server (Marie) was very friendly, attentive & quick. We never had to ask for refills or anything else for that matter, she was on it. The food came out quickly. Portions were large. The smoked pork steak, Mac n cheese & baked beans were the best I’ve ever had at a restaurant. My 11y.o. son who is a Mac n cheese connoisseur agreed that it’s one of the best he’s had as well 🙂 he said the pizza was “pretty good”, but he also got a plain cheese pizza – their specialty pizzas sound delicious, we’ll be trying one next time. The pork steak was falling apart because it was so tender.
We brought home a takeout order for hubby including chicken, meatloaf & Mac cheese – after a 30 minute drive home he was still impressed with the quality of his food. It was still warm and very tasty.
Only thing we didn’t love was the coleslaw!
10/10 would recommend this place and we can’t wait to try it again!

WOW! Just wow! We just left there and I am still thinking about the incredible meal we had here. The food was absolutely stellar, but what really set this place apart was the hospitality. We didn’t just have one server; it felt like the entire crew was looking out for us, treating us like family from the moment we walked in. It is rare to find such a warm, team oriented vibe. Plus, the value is unbeatable less than $100 for three people including drinks?! This is officially our new favorite spot. 10/10 recommend! I wish I took a picture to show how good the food was.

PLEASE READ MY REVIEWS: Cafe Smoke N Pi service and atmosphere is great. They were busy tonight but we didn’t have to wait. Curtis the buser, is gonna make a great server. He’s not quite old enough yet to serve but wow, what a polite young man. He will be a great addition to the server staff here. Our server, Anthony, was great too. He was very busy and still took good care of us. Kudos to Anthony!!! We got the two meat platter. It’s a huge portion of food. Comes with your choice of brisket, smoked chicken breast, pulled pork, bacon sausage, meatloaf or you can substitute ribs. We shared the platter and couldn’t eat it all. We had brisket and pulled pork. For sides, baked beans and sweet potato. Whether you live close by or downtown St Louis it’s worth the drive. The outside seating is awesome too. I highly recommend Cafe N Pi. I hope to get to meat the owner soon and shake his hand.

Our favorite local BBQ spot. We have tried the majority of the menu and have loved everything. Highly recommend trying the fish basket w/ their tartar sauce, pork steaks, and the buffalo chicken sandwiches!!!

I’ve eaten here a few times and the food is delicious. I only gave 4 stars because we ordered the fish basket tonight and although the fish was tasty there was barely any fish and a whole lot of fries. Over priced for a platter of fries with a few fish strips.

We were visiting Jefferson College and we stopped here for Lunch. This restaurant did not disappoint. The waiter made us feel at home as soon as we walked in. There was no rushing, the waiter gave us adequate time to look over the menu and answered all our questions. He gave us recommendations to order. There were 5 of us so it took us a bit to make up our minds. Our food was brought to us fresh and hot. The portions of food were amazing and the amount we spent per meal seemed adequate for what we received. We had a bit of time prior to being at the college so we stayed and visited but the waiter still made sure our cups were full as we chatted. I recommend stopping in for lunch or dinner. It was easy to find and the GPS took us straight to it.
