Joyful
It’s a lovely place with good Happy Hour offerings. I got the Halibut & Shrimp Ceviche—very Fresh, only not flavorful—very acidic—that’s all I could taste—tart! Too bad because it’s a nice portion and fresh. In 2 Shrimp though, but large shrimp. I also ordered the Baby Back Ribs—fall off the bone tender and flavorful.
My server Adelede was super kind. Seating isn’t very comfortable with the exception of the long booth along the wall. It’s mostly a Bar/Club Vibe with great music and energy. I definitely recommend coming here for the music and club vibe. Food is fresh and nicely presented. Will try other options in the future.
I was meeting a Group here and arrived early to dine. The Group is Patrick’s OC HH. This place accommodated our 75-100 group and it was a fun time for all.
Parking Garage is FREE and shared with other restaurants and businesses in Triangle Park.

Nice place. Not too far from parking but service was very slow for an early weekday night. Food was decent but nothing special. The paella was boring but we did enjoy the gambas tapa but there were only 4 shrimp. The hanging meat was nice to look at but the taste was bland. The lamb was tough and chewy. The octopus tapa was good though. Sangria was good but watered down.

Really likes the Paella… Which is a big pan filled with rice, spices and meat or fish of your choice. We happened to go on Sundays mmm… Their slow days so the pans are all half off! Great deal in any case as the pans are so big that the family size can feed 3 normal people (not teenage basketball players, mind). Tastety, and you can still around the promenade afterwards to help settle down all the food and spirits. Movie@ starlite ️ cinema afterwards? Good date!

Great service. Some of the freshest and best Ceviche I’ve had in the states and the Paella some of the best out there. Had a few glasses of Sangria and it was good but, strong . The Sangria crept up on me and can’t forget the tasty flavorful Empanadas. The beef ones were my personal favorite.

Disappointing Group Dining Experience – Not Worth the Price

We visited Café Salvilla in Costa Mesa with a group of 13 people, and unfortunately, the experience was very disappointing. We were left waiting for over 1.5 hours before anything meaningful was served. Initially, one staff member briefly explained the beverage menu and then disappeared. We had to ask multiple times just to get water, and they only brought one small bottle that barely filled four cups for the entire group. More water was finally brought when the food was served—after a long wait.

During the evening, the lights went out and came back on twice, and not a single staff member acknowledged it, apologized, or offered any explanation. It added to the overall feeling of disorganization and lack of care.

After the long delay, they brought out bread and sauce and finally took beverage orders. It was clear they were severely understaffed and not prepared to handle a large group.

The menu was very limited and confusing—only 3 or 4 options, each meant to serve four people. Dishes were not served together, and no one explained how the courses would work. There were also no serving utensils, which made sharing plates concerning from a hygiene standpoint.

We were told that three meal orders would be enough for the group, but in reality, five people had to share a dish meant for four. Everyone was still charged the same—$48 per person. With tax and tip, the total came to $62 per person. That kind of price might be reasonable for excellent service and a smooth experience, but this was far from it.

While the food itself was decent, the service, wait time, and overall experience did not justify the cost. For $62 per person, you can have a much better meal elsewhere. I wouldn’t recommend this place for group dining.

Food was great the live salsa music with DJ was great. We ate at the bar and service at the bar could have been better. It’s annoying when we have to flag down a bartender at the bar like we’re invisible. Fun place that I would recommend it.

We are a group of 10 people who attended the restaurant to celebrate a birthday with family and friends, we arrived in a group of 8 people with 3 minors (children) and they never asked us for ID when entering two of our friends (brunettes) arrived last and the person who receives them at the ALEXIS door, asks them for their ID and from that moment the dinner for our family and friends became threatening comments from Alexis in which indicated that we should leave before 10 pm when the last dish was served around 9:47 pm, I think it’s terrible that after visiting such a beautiful place and warm atmosphere this kind of thing happens, we just wanted to celebrate a birthday in a family atmosphere and good food. They should pay more attention to the selection of personnel since it is uncomfortable to go through these situations without mentioning the discrimination that my friends felt what an uncomfortable moment.

Went on a Thursday night so we were able to use the “Date night ” savings on the 5 course dinner for two. First of all the amount of food is enough for four!
What about the taste?
Absolutely great. We ordered the braised short Rib and the salmon with chorizo as the mains. Flavor matched the portion size! The table side flambe finish 2nd course, spectacular!

Nice popular restaurant and dance club in Costa Mesa / Newport Beach area. I can’t believe that this is the first time we have been to this seemingly popular place. We came on a Sunday evening to celebrate a birthday party. We had reservations and our take was ready but we didn’t like the table and they accommodated us outside with combing a few other tables. You can bring your dog if you are sitting outside which is very convenient. It was happy hour (before 7) all tapas are half off. I had their short rib tacos for dinner which was very tasty. Only complaint would be that the chimichuri made it super oily. I also tried the lamb sliders that were delightful. On toasted ciabatta bread with caramalizes onions. The Brussels sprouts were out of this world. I had only one piece. My wife got the paella. She rated it (4/5). Mainly I deducted a star given the fact that as soon as we sat down the told us that the were out of seafood. So our paella had mushrooms on top instead of shrimp 😉
We enjoyed the live music at the bar and at the same time there was a dancing session going on in the main ballroom. Coming again if they fix the seafood issue 😉
